He may have scored more goals but if you add the games Harrison and Gaffney played because it was always one or the other and the goals they scored I think you will find they scored more Just in league games played last season. Ellis 37 games 8 goals. Games per goal 4.62 Gaffney 34 games 6 goals. Games per goal 5.66 Nichols 43 games 10 goals. Games per goal 4.30 So not a lot between them but Nichols was the best of a fairly average bunch.Nice to see Gaffney has 6 goals already this season I think, in not many appearances and Ellis has been a revelation in his last dozen games or so and the pair of them are on course to easily surpass last seasons totals.Still time for Nichols to come good if played in the right position but on form Ellis and Gaff should both be starting ahead of Nichols. Those figures are all very well but do not say how many games Harrison replaced gaffney or vice versa

How does anyone know what we paid please ? I know the idiot who owns posh was saying he didn't feature in this seasons plans and that he did well to get the money he did for him but I've seen no figures been bandied about. Any links ? Thanks in advance Peterborough said it was £374k Trouble is mccanthony is a blabber mouth chairman who wants the fee to seem high regardless of the truth and we have owners who rightly follow the "undisclosed" agreement.

Not trying to be argumentative, honest, just trying to understand how this thing works

Jonny Burn gone out on loan to-day to York so not been too successful for him with us.Not impressed at all with Nicholls. Not up to it physically..Loans this season not set the world on fire and rarely feature .Remember we had loans from Man City and Swansea not long ago who rarely featured.Options very limited with current squad so hope we stay injury free during Dec'. Youngsters scored 11 to-day so let's hope their progress continues. I see The full back we had from Swansea has been starting games for Middlesbrough recently..... Sez it all really....

Well young players get stronger and better quite often and their next loan will then naturally be to a bigger club, whats unusual about that? Also he hasnt set the world alight at middlebro, hes only played 1 league game.

I think Tom should listen to Hero by Mariah Carey. The lyrics will surely inspire him to be a ...... hero.

A big centre forward for fs sake it's 2017 not 1971. Would smash and grab get any goals in today's football ? Hold on a minute does anybody know their numbers we could be onto something here. Big centre forward were meant to be moving forward not fin backwards! What is Lukaku, Costa,Kane,Crouch ect, look like big centre forwards to me, wouldn't you like Lambert in his prime back leading our attack. The amount of long balls we play in a lot of games there is a need for one, would help defending too just like Ellis does.

Ref "big centre forward" i actually think ellis is just that and mobile with it. Would be great if he was one of the very few players in the whole league who scored 20 goals a season of course but he not done badly in that area imo.
