I wish, looks like Clarke has bought another very expensive dud as regards scoring still time I know.Cant help but think Clarke's philosophy of buying strikers with potential to score lots of goals is a bit flawed most other teams buy players that are already prolific in that department and then try and improve other aspects of their game.

It's very early doors to criticise Nichols, I thought he looked very energetic and tactically aware against Cambridge. Give it until Christmas, I'm sure he'll get his rhythm soon.

As my old man used to say, son, there is one guarantee in life, this world will never run out of clowns.... Ffs, how many games has nicholls played so far, is there a striker on the planet who always scores every other game, and never has dry spell of course not. How about getting off the blokes back and allowing him time to settle in.

That loanee from Stoke seems a natural striker with plenty of confidence. Be daft not to play him on Saturday imo.

It took the snake ages to start scoring regularly. FFS give Nichols a chance! He is a class player, anyone who knows anything about football can see in the way he moves, passes, and his vision that he is a first rate footballer. The goals will come.

I was thinking more in terms of someone to keep Bradford on the back foot seeing as our two best defenders are away on international duty. A player with his speed of thought and nimble feet will worry any defence.

Quite right, and I remember the same applied to Rickie Lambert, Jason Roberts, and Nathan Ellington to name but three from the past!

I can understand the frustration with Ellis which stems from his inconsistency. He has bags of ability but can never sustain it. Still at his best as an impact sub when he could and should be so much more. He isn't fulfilling his potential IMO.

This thread is unfortunately for real very early in the season I know James also had good movement and awareness it means f**k all as regards scoring goals. I'm a gashead I want Nichols to score lots of goals we were looking for a 20+ goalscorer when we signed him can't see that happening. This thread will still be available to look at come the end of the season I sincerely hope I'm wrong.

Dear Kegan, I do not know what Mrs Deg is teaching you in BS3. But let gasheads give the player a chance to gel. Holy macaroni. Yours sincerely, Sho Veler
