poor choice of words IMO not worth being that precious about it Sorry, would parasitic, club murdering, immoral, subhuman morons do? No that was the fans and in particular brfcsc members refusing to criticise Nick Higgs for years on end. This is just people with nothing better to do that also don't understand football.

I went to one last year because it was a corporate hospitality freebie. I quite like Minions and I can't stand Mrs Brown's Boys.

Apparently we are winning 4-1 with Telford (2) Broom and Sercombe on the sheet. Sorry if announcing the score upsets anyones sensibilities....

5-1 final score with Broom scoring a second. Good run out and continuing winning streak even if it has become a Mickey Mouse competition with little support... Goodnight all!

Is the ideal way to support the club abandoning them to watch Mangotsfield for years and then coming crawling back abusing other supporters left right and centre?

If you think using the term 'scab' to describe a fellow Rovers fan is acceptable, you need to re-evaluate.

I don't think anyone has called anyone a 'scab' for shades of allegiance division since the Miners' Strikes. It's about as senseless as the Peoples' Front of Judea calling the Judean Peoples' Front 'splitters' in Life of Brian.
If someone wants to attend, bloody well let them. That's one more evening of their time and money supporting the club we love that YOU decided to spend being hysterical on the internet. Again.

We have been to the final before, one wonders how many 'scabs' (nasty word for a Rovers supporter) would be at Wembley!

We got to the final when the competition was exclusively for third and fourth division clubs, that's the difference. Some good may have come from this though. You can only beat what's in front of you and we did that well, with some fringe players getting a morale boosting win and others scoring other than King Billy.

So you agree with the premise that Premier League and Championship B teams should play in the football league?

In my opinion there is only one way to get the EFL to listen/see the error of their ways (if you believe they have messed up this competition big time). They really don't care how many/few watch these preliminary games. Traditionally it has always been poorly supported at this stage. Perhaps more so now with the new format, but I don't believe they care about that either. For me - the only way fans will get them cloth eared idiots at the EFL to listen is to have as few as possible at Wembley. Unless and until that happens the arguments are going over their heads in this one. If fans of all clubs involved (it's not just a BRFC thing) truly believe that this competition is that bad the boycott (if that is what you want to do) has to be carried through right to the end. It's no good staying away and then going to Wembley to give the EFL the satisfaction of a decent sized crowd. They will have won. It, of course, all depends on how strongly you believe in killing this thing off versus your love of the club (whichever gets to the Final). And that is a hard decision to make. But if you feel the fight is worth it that's the decision I think will need to be made. Nothing worth fighting for is ever easy and sacrifices usually have to be made. Call it "tough love" if you like but unless and until they are kicked where it hurts the EFL will continue not to listen

Well said. Last year was the same, poor attendances early on. Whenever Shaun Harvey, EFL boss, talks about attendances he always claims the record Coventry v Oxford record attendance. Of course it had nothing to do with the U21 teams but when have PR people ever let the evidence affect what you put out. Well done matealotblue, some good reason and a lot of sense in that post. But I guess that if we've had this argument over a first round match just imagine the in-fighting we'd get for a final. Now that would split the support! UTG!
