He can say what be likes as far as Im concerned. Over time he has said many things, some true, some that were not so true. I am sure he has been used in the past to put stuff out there, true or otherwise simply because they know he will plaster it all over the internet At the end of the day, its internet fora, we can only make our opinions and assumptions on the written word. I dont particularly care what anyone thinks of me based on the forum and I dont generally take any offense or anything personally that might be said, because its a football forum and i aint that precious My attitude has always been that if anyone ever wants to take anything up with me in person they are more than welcome to. I dont hide behind a username, there is a picture of me in my avatar. Sprout Agree with all of that. I will add, forum or not, there is never any excuse for being rude to anyone. Agreed ...can someone PLEASE tell Chewbacca to refrain from being rude with me and remove my photo from his profile. I have never spoken to or met the guy but he continues to constantly make unsavoury remarks about me. Totally unnecessary.

Hi Harry, the photo in my avatar is actually well known War veteran and fellow poster John McClean. Best wishes.

I have never, repeat never condoned violence .....but in your case I may make an exception ! Lighten up mate.
With respect what is happening in Spain at the moment there are more pressing matters and no need to make up lies to try and discredit others. Pathetic

It's not lies tho is it?
You cleared stated that Chris Brown should have given someone a slap.
Not sure what the events in Spain have got to do with this.

OP is again coming across as a splitter, for what reason who knows, or really cares, he never backs up with any substance, pinch of sodium chloride. I think this is unfair and comes across as creating a straw man.
We have a situation in which the only real known fact is that Rovers have pulled out of the negotiations about the construction of the UWE. Given that this appeared to be one of the main stated reasons why our owners were interested in purchasing Rovers (above others it seemed) in the first place, and that there is an absence of an immediately apparent plan B, it doesn't seem unreasonable to speculate that this may have an impact on their commitment to the club.
These doubts have not exactly been eased by the comments and behaviour of our upper management team since then and the noises and actions of some around the club and who have had dealings with it - the best you can say is that we have heard well intentioned stalling rather than full throated commitment coupled with statements of intent. That might reflect their own desire to re-consider the options going forwards but it's unlikely to inspire confidence. In that context, it seems reasonable for people to express concerns and speculate on possibilities on forums in the way AMPG has. The main lack of substance and clarity is on the side of Rovers management and that creates unease because the onus is on them to clarify the situation. This doesn't mean people want the owners out but it does mean that quite a few see reasons to be concerned. Substance is a slippery thing too when it comes to Rovers - it was once a fact that we were spending a year playing in Cheltenham, it was once a fact that we had a watertight contract with Sainsbury's, it was briefly a fact that finishing the UWE deal was a priority and just a matter of details........Hard work being a Gashead!
Perhaps I wasn't being clear enough, I wasn't referring to AMPG but Gasincider who AMPG was referring too, this isn't the first time he has lit a match and walked away from the ensuing chaos. He says he knows things but will not divulge any further.

A long time ago I was told by someone "in the know" that the deal with the UWE was that it was a leasehold, that in the stadium Rovers would build some classrooms, that there would be a jogging track for students to use. That there would be a crèche, that Students would have access to a gym that the proceeds from the car park, bars and food outlets would go to the UWE. Uwe would also use the stadium for sports and concerts. In return we pay a peppercorn rent for 110 years not that we would last that long with a deal like this

Obviously it depends on the terms of the lease, but I can't see why a leasehold of this length is a problem in itself.

But then you don't know what would be leased and what rights the freeholder would retain, so the length of that lease is secondary. Plus, not just do you not know the details of the decision, it's not your decision to make. What you'd have decided in your imagined scenario, were you someone you're not, is irrelevant, so why bl00dy keep on about it?

Let's just trust the AQ's as we revisit an unworkable plans from a decade ago with no timescales or costings - but the funding is in place. Think I've heard that one before.

A Bird Doesn’t Sing Because It Has an Answer, It Sings Because It Has a Song-A Chinese proverb Hi there John/Mike/Harry - I'm afraid this is factually incorrect. A bird sings for many reasons, including: an alarm call; a warning of predators; to announce territory, and to find a mate. And, communication being a two-way thing, some of the bird song will actually be an answer.  Indeed. The 'too-wit too-woo' sound owls make is the sound of a female calling 'too-wit' and the male responding with 'too-woo'. I learned this upstairs at Bristol Museum and Art Gallery yesterday. Us drakes cannot really quack. It's (female) ducks who really quack. I don't know how we have not discussed this before, Mike/Harry/John/Chewbacca.
