reckons that there are 2 potential interested parties - to take the UWE plan forward as owners of BRFC
I think I've met him. He seemed to me to be very knowledgeable, although I think I'd understand if he just wanted to post some nonsense this one time, given the responses he gets
anyway, whatever the truth of that, the thread has this, which I thought was worth a re-post....
Ten questions for any potential owner.
1) Who is Billy Ocean.?
2) Will you have a flower bed / mural of a flower bed behind the goals at a new /revamped stadium.?
3) Have you ever been on a BRFC board before ?
4) Do you accept BRFC need to OWN their future stadium .History has shown the hardship of not owning to gasheads.
5) Is Devon White a)a dulux paint colour b)a Nottingham electrician c)a baseball player.
6) which is the odd one out ? Paul Randall , Rickie Lambert ,Geoff Bradford ?
7) Does the year 1982 make you smile ?
8) Have you ever queued up in the rain to buy a hot drink at a football game ?
9) When shown a picture of Steve Lansdowne what three words spring to mind ?
10) Why are you better than our current owners ?

I don't think ownership of a football club can be chopped and changed like Chelsea managers. Regardless, some reasonable questions in there. Would sneak some basic maths in personally, to throw off any potential future Higgs types.

What if Wael stayed on as part of a hypothetical deal?
I'd fail 10), so I'm out.

Sounds like a deal or no deal today ? Noel Edmunds is NOT involved.
Press Conference tentatively booked I believe.
The 64,000 dollar question is. Should Wael cash out ?

Read that and would acknowledge his previous posts have some credibility. However, the thought that not just one, but two interested parties are interested in a bid take over in less than two weeks since we pulled out of the UWE arrangement seems a bit of a stretch to me and may just be bravado. I'm accepting Wael's explanation that the deal on the table was not favourable for the club. The Al Qadi's know what makes a good deal and it would appear as though the university were not willing to bend. Too many people seem to have got too upset over the UWE deal falling through in my opinion.

Everything has its price and sustainablity of having a shortfall of £1/2 million per year, my big fear is Billy Bodin being at Rovers on 1st September

Think Brian might know or be on to something & might be being used to bring it out to the supporters, however, they didn't sort things out when they had the first opportunity (immediately prior to the AQ takeover) so can they be trusted this time to deliver?
I'm still with the AQs - however if they fail to deliver on reasonably quickly progressing the Training Ground & the Mem revamp I might wish I wasn't.

The sticking point may well be, who pays off the creditors?

If it's ex-employees then I fear we will sink back to the Santa's Grotto culture once again.

Can't think anyone connected with previous regimes would be foolish, wealthy or daft enough or have the ability to push through a deal with UWE that we are told is not in the interests of a sustainable BRFC.

Wael stated the UWE deal wasn't in the best interests of BRFC. Fear would be any UWE deal with a new party would be in their interests and again not in best interests of the club. Wael imo is an honourable man and I believe what he says

His rumours aren't very popular or well received on the other forum. It's like most be over there only want to read facts, except facts like the football club only spending money secured against it's only asset r
