£10m x 6% = £600k = £11.5k a week? interest paid to DS goes largely untaxed as the company is based in Guernsey? And the facts pertinent to this thread and Rovers are what?

Is interest set at 6%, have no idea. Is Dwane Sports in Guernsey, no registered in Jersey. So again is all the truth out there?

Before we all take a fixed position on the merits of leasehold, because of what Mr Dunford guessed, we don't know that that was the only issue (or if it was an issue). It's a pretty binary question, so I doubt that it took 18 months to agree to disagree, with everything else settled and cushty. We don't know what was unresolved. And we never will. Seems we keep going around full circle and let's face it, if not for the leak then my guess is we would probably have not known the owners position until much later and maybe a plan b may have had the time to be looked into properly A few thoughts spring to mind. If negotiations with UWE have been so difficult they have had 18 months to start investigating plan b's. Why didn't they? Points to the fact that a deal was ready to sign but the plug got pulled. Even though no work has been done on plan b, what or might or might not be feasible or any timescales or costs, funding is in place and won't be an issue? Ever get the feeling you're being mugged off? This can't end well.

£10m x 6% = £600k = £11.5k a week? interest paid to DS goes largely untaxed as the company is based in Guernsey? I havent had chance to listen to the interview. I guess 6% interest is mentioned in it No, it's not mentioned in the interview but it's not unfounded scaremongering either. A few months ago when the 2016 accounts were published I made a post to explain why I thought Dwane Sports were charging interest and my estimate of the rate. It's a fairly simple calculation really because we know the amount MSP Capital was owed remained constant from 1/7/15 to 18/2/16 and we know the rate they charged so we can calculate the interest paid to them. We know that there are still preference shares outstanding, of relatively small value, which attract interest so we can calculate the interest on those. And we know the former directors and shareholders waived interest so no interest is payable to them. So if we take the total interest paid during the year and deduct the amount paid to MSP Capital and the preference shareholders we get the figure paid to Dwane Sports. We know that Dwane Sports advanced £6.2 million when the deal was done and had £7.2 million outstanding at the year end so, knowing the interest paid on that amount, we can estimate the rate was about 6%. If the additional losses since 1/7/16, and possibly the purchase price of the Colony, are added to the £7.2 million there must be close to £10 million outstanding now. And the interest on £10 million at 6% is £600 000 per year. I want to stress we are all on the same side and we want Wael and Rovers to succeed but it's no use hiding from reality. If the question had been asked then Wael would have had the chance to say that the interest charged was in fact re-credited to Rovers account to aid cash flow or that the loan was in the process of being converted to shares.

I've just listened to Wael's interview with 20p. 20p asked the right questions (excluding the training ground one), but Wael didn't really say anything
I take it from his waffling that its all a bit 'back to square one', and he's waiting for his advisors to tell him what the options are
he wasn't anywhere near as self-assured as usual though
funnily enough, I don't doubt his competence and I still really like his style. Tough job though

Tough job though I don't think he is calling the shots AMPG. I truly believe that he wants to but Hani seems to be the person in control according to people doing business with the club.

I remeber Hani tweeting Rovers Here I come with a picture sometime after the takeover so I assume he wasn't as hands on directly after the takeover.

Just returned from my holiday in Belgium and catching up on here.
I am given to understand from my source that Agents Mulder and Scully have now unearthed an old case file from the Mem marked Top Secret together with a gold memory stick with encrypted files. Feel sure the truth is out there....they will find out what has been happening.

I am going to give him the benefit of doubt, simply because of his position within FIFA. If this goes pear shaped it will look really bad for him.

Back to beginning.Hopefully Waels family are still backing him,if not then there's not much point in them being involved in Rovers. I think they are still with us.

I'm sure someone could save everyone a lot of time by posting a few Mem Redevelopment threads from ~10 years ago. That would bring everyone on the forum and on the board right back up to speed, very quickly please don't, I shudder to think what I was spouting... fair interview, not massively convincing but what choice do we (or does he) have? back on the merry-go-round we jump
