Not really, I never started the thread. Well I am going to get in touch with el president, might be able to get him a good deal on furniture for the car park and other things.... we even do it in blue and white. This is probably me, sorry. I never noticed 'car park furniture'. Is good car park furniture like a good referee? I can think of bollards and maybe a seat for the especially weary, or tramps. What am I missing? I feel I'm missing something and am keen to be educated and enlightened. As for 'other things'....

yep have seen the post on book of the face but until i see an official announcement i will start to have faith,i have been waiting for a new ground for 90% of my life since i was a little chap being dragged to trashton by my granddad when my great uncle ( a Mr Penrice ), not sure if anyone has heard of him :-)) invited all the boys one boxing day to a game instead of the usual trip to trashton, i was Six at the time and that where it began for me and the Gas, my granddad refused to talk me for months when i said who i'm going to support but he understood at least one of his grandchildren had taste ( not sure he used those words) so i can wait for a new ground, and i will be a proud gashead sat in the new stadium on the occasions the wife lets me out the doghouse lol but she is slowing being converted to the GAS It's funny you should say that about your good lady as I only get to see certain friends at games and because it's the only time their spouses will tolerate them going out without them. Surely you can make a case for yourself on needing some man time once a week fella ? I am not directing the next bit at you but I've ne we known so many be, what our US cousins call pussy whipped. I hope you get to go to games regularly

( note to self, don't let wife read forums) and the upside she dose think DC is a good looking man and is now on her allowed list as long as it get me free tickets to games and special status with the club. i also have a few friends who other half keeps them on a very short leash, my little bro wife has his bank card and is only allowed a small allowance for beer and football, but he is a s**t head so i laugh

I do understand the money side of it and it costs me around £50 if I'm reasonably careful. Trying to explain spending that on one afternoon must be hard in all honesty. There are many others who have to rationalise this to their wives, but handing over the ATM card is beyond the pale & I wouldn't want to be with a woman like that. She is doing him a favour where the 82 are concerned though lol. If you ever do have problems getting the funds then I've found this forum to be full of very kind & generous of spirit people. I've been very grateful and blessed to have had tickets given and sent me and without even asking. I have always loved that part of the larger Gas family. I even had my wallet returned after the FA cup game at Birmingham. Ok, the money was gone but it was full of some very personally precious items, stuff that many wouldn't find any value in but priceless to me. It did contain some valuable & rare coins, a 24 carat St Christopher & a silver dollar though and all were returned, along with my bank & credit cards. Good luck my friend.

Not just this forum but it's predecessors as well, 10 years a go we played that horrible rabble south of the river. A very nice lady managed to get me and another forum member tickets. Still have not repaid her enough for seeing Lambert score. ANGAS still have not thanked you enough, a highlight of my life being able to smile so much.

Oh I was pleased to be able to help. It was a great night, one not to be missed. We hadn't had too many of those in the years before, that's for sure. Better times now though - long may it last!

That has to be one of the great goal of my 55 years watching the Gas - Rickie's connection sublime and Basso's "cant stop that" reaction - quite an evening!

Gotta be done, for old times' sake - Somehow the fact that it is captioned 'Gary Johnson - Bristol City Manager' makes it even sweeter! Fun fact - Adriano Basso is still playing at the age of 42 for FC United (and actually doing a very good job so far generally). I went to see them the other day and they managed to cough up a 3-0 half time lead against Chorley. It was 3-2 with about 2 minutes left when Basso won the ball from the feet of a Chorley striker and then for no obvious reason proceeded to land a right hook on the guy and was sent off. FC had used all their substitutions so an outfield player had to go in goal and duly conceded the equaliser with the last kick of the game. The programme notes had made quite a big deal of Basso's 'maturity' and the value of his level headed deeply professional nature which stemmed from his strong evangelical Christian beliefs......He'd certainly taken the 'eye for an eye' bit on-board - I think it was the cleanest punch I've ever seen on a football field, totally poleaxed the bloke!

Looks like this big news of anything was nonsense and yet it had several of the ITK posters going.

Think I'm in a minority, but I really liked that season's kit socks and all.

When I think of her I think of the not the 9 o clock news sketch where the buyer gets out his Amex card and she thrust her ample cleavage out and says thank you sir, would you like to rub my tats ! She was a tasty looking bird Err...that was Pamela Stephenson....Anderson was the bay watch lass. Am surprised that Clive and Pam were the first Andersons to pop into people's minds rather than ex-Rovers Ijah, John or Mikkel (Andersen). Think there's another one too..keeper that played for both Bristol clubs but not sure of my facts re him! 'Bob' Anderson....played 10 games for Rovers then went over to City....between 1953 and 1959.

Is that the same bloke who went on to win the World Darts Championship?....Or maybe that was Pamela Stephenson. This thread has completely messed with my already tenuous grasp on reality......

Think I'm in a minority, but I really liked that season's kit socks and all. The kit worn by the team called Bristol City Nil, is a most ordinary kit which could be any one of 18 teams from Morecambe to Accrington.Ours on the other hand is unique in the whole league. Very ordinary club Bristol City Nil, epitomised by that dreadful strip.

The credibility of some has just been destroyed by recycling this fake news. One thing during the last year that has become clear is that the new regime have pulled the shutters down on leaks, and aren't feeding titbits of info for people to spread around the terraces which was common in previous years.

I'd be more than happy to think no news would ever be leaked again. On the other hand, it's possible that this wasn't fake news, it's just that the announcement is being held back for a while. Time will tell. Either way, it's pretty novel to not be desperately waiting, pinning all our hopes on one bit of good news to shine a chink of light at the end of a long dark tunnel.
