The bottom team in div 1 has conceded fewer goals than the gas that's a damming stat for any manager to stomach considering all the training ground practice that must take place midweek we are an attacking side granted but the defence needs to be addressed big time you cannot always outscore your opponent's Clarke never seems to address this our defence is average at best sort it out.

How many more goals have we scored than the bottom team?

I think that when you need to bring on a defender and all thats on the bench is Mcrystal then there is a problem. DC will deal with this and other defects in the squad in January .

Our success in recent seasons was built upon a back five which, injuries apart, usually picked itself. Now the personnel and formation change from match to match.

Lack of pace in defence exposed to-day.Quite a worry. No wonder with Leads given his marching orders, Clarke Salter away with Engerland & Macca (for some reason) thrown into the proceedings.

We are playing two divisions above where this team started and with Clarke-Salter out and James Clarke injured then the only other option in the squad was Connor Roberts which would have mneant one of the other loanees not being to be able to be in the squad. I do feel constant changes of the defence have not helped but yesterday the result was down to one refereeing decision. I agree the goals were poor from a defensive viewpoint but praise must be given to the clinical finishing which if we had we would now be top of this division!

Thought we had 6 loanees in the squad & you can name 5 in the match day squad. Or am I mistaken (quite likely)?

Missed England U20 Captain Jake Clarke Salter today Whilst I agree - were you actually there? Or are you commenting on Radio Bristol Commentary? Generally speaking I find there is better value listening to people who actually attend games. Similarly the OP starts a critical thread on Rovers based on watching 2 minute of Sky highlights.

Immaterial as to how many goals more we have scored.if we cannot keep clean sheets it means we have to score at least two goals per game minimum to win

We all know where we were two years ago, but if the doomsday mob can only find a lack of clean sheets to spit their dummies over, I'll take that.

Nothing to do with doomsday or anything like it.i was pointing out the fact that if we keep conceding goals then the pressure on the strikers to score at least two goals a game is going to increase and lead to them making the wrong decisions because the defence is found wanting.as shankly once said and it has been repeated by numerous managers if the opposition don't score we want lose and can always sneak a goal
