About 170 odd miles if you take the M25 M11 route

Hard to think we'll ever see scenes like Daggenham again, it would take something very very special to better that.
But then, that's what I would have said this time last year about that 5th penalty hitting the back of the net at Wembley.
Maybe we could get promoted and relegate 1982 all in 1 game? Wael, you have friends in high places, sort it out please.

Hartlepool away on a Tuesday night, having not won any of the previous five games.
That 3-0 could have been 6-0 & wouldn't have been undeserved. Our season got going from that night onward.

Dorchester trumps the lot though.
Now that was an away day.

Dagenham, followed by Dagenham, Dagenham, and then Dagenham.
Dagenham.

Being frozen at Nuneaton! We were stood on metal terracing and the fog was getting ever thicker.Brill ref that day and their on-loan keeper from Barnsley wore a pink jumper and he had ginger hair causing the chant,'Ginger and pink, your'e having a laugh'. Part time Nuneaton, not quite as bad as part time Altrincham(Ryan Brunt's last game) where the team travelled on the day of the game but did get there in time-just!! Bit different now but Braintree was a dreadful ground.

I often quote Braintree 'limited gene pool' FC away as the nadir of Bristol Rovers FC. Only 29 miles from Epping though. AMPG - I didn't see you there - or did you get removed after 'remonstrating' with their players after the imaginary penalty?

Has to be the Dagenham game which will always be an "I was there moment" other then that losing to Bath City in the we're in the s**t leagues cup was an absolute ball....

Nice short trip for me and although we've had two promotions it's one of the few matches that I felt at half time that we would definately win! To score 7 made it a very enjoyable and stress-free afternoon....and we don't get many of those as Rovers fans! Despite the promotions we always do it the hard way! UTG!

Strange, as I too think Braintree away was an pivotal moment.
I walked out of that match shaking my head and metaphorically staring over the side of a chasm.
Something happened that day.
Since then, the rise has been nothing short of miraculous. Meteoric. Of course, there have been blips along the way such as Chesham Bath etc.
But, for me....Daggers takes the cherry in a two year well constructed icing on the cake. A kindof footballing Gas orgasm!
From chasm to orgasm... Maybe MM title of a book?! Haha!

Just can't think of it at the moment and if I did I'm not sure it would be suitable for posting. But can think of other more suitable places to use it...

I didn't go, had just retired and was on a holiday and arrived back to pick up a Sunday paper look at the results and thought *** how low have we come. But actually September 2014 was a pretty good month after and the rest is history as they say. UTG!

I remember leaving that Braintree game and seeing a guy leaving with his 3 under 10 year old kids thinking that's one hell of a journey back home after that. Made me feel worse.
Someone else who was speaking as if they were ITK saying Darryl would be leaving on Monday.
SInce then it's just got better and better - hopefully those three kids were at the Dagenham game.

Other than Dagenham the two I really enjoyed and stick long in the memory; Woking away and the 10 hilarious minutes of 'Betsy is a w**ker' being sung by virtually every single on of the 2000 gas. Mansfield away- that game had it all; red cards, fights, dives, ex city players getting stick, goals, delays, dirty rotten foul play, some kid in front of us flanked by his parents shouting the most foul abuse (to their approval) and s 98th minute winner..... I loved that game
