Wasn't that in McGhee days? What's odd MT hasn't returned to pre-season even if he avoided the competitive games, surely that's the clearest signal he has no intention of playing here this season? Why don't the club just announce that? DC said he told Matty he couldn't train with us,it would cause to much speculation

The longer this goes on the more Matty is letting himself down, cant really understand the reasoning for him taking so long to decide on what he should do. I doubt we offered a bad wage for a league 1 player. If he or his agent is hoping for 10,000 plus a week then good luck to them i would shake his had and say we have to move on. The situation is fast becoming a joke really. Either Matty signs soon or the club should just announce they no longer perusing his signature extending his stay at the club. I love him to stay obviously but as ive said this is a joke considering its a month until first league game.

mass hysteria has broken out!! but only on forums as most fans are just enjoying summer and the squad are preparing for the new season. dc has clearly stated that the club have made him an offer but that it could be withdrawn at any time. thats it really,no need for deadlines for him to sign etc. if matty says he wants to stay dc can decide if its best for rovers depending on the needs of the team at that time.

We may as well keep the offer therr as long as possible. The only one losing out is Taylor by not signing for anyone. People can say he doesnt want to be here but the only other way he will get a move is to score goals.for us if his agent has been trying to get too much money Definitley needs a better agent

Seems odd the top scorer in league two cant get a free transfer anywhere

With Roofe gone to Leeds I guessed they would need a replacement so it is possible to join the dots on this. But not sure how it has advanced his career by signing for a club in same league as us (if this is true).

He comes from the Oxford area I believe, and has often said (even since he was here) that he would like to get back to his family in the area.

Oxford - its not really a long journey from Bristol! You're undoubtedly right, but then again it's for the individual to decide.

Maguire and Rothwell signed for them today. So it goes on.....

There has been no news of this on the Hearts forums for a while now, think it has been dismissed as nonsense.

There has been no news of this on the Hearts forums for a while now, think it has been dismissed as nonsense. But he did have a pre contract in place. That was confirmed at least. I was quite content with not being in any rush but now I think we are getting to critical mass point and we need the players in so we can get them bonding and playing as a unit. I had hoped we would not see protracted situations, like when we were after JJOT. Surely MT can make his own mind up, if true about his agent ( Coles) being on holiday. I would have to question any agent who decided to go on holiday when it's that time of year when they should be doing their most important work Many Danny Coles want to meet in the car park !
