Not training with us or anyone else,he is running out of time, missing at least 4 pre season games. If he had any offers, concrete or not ,he would have signed for whoever was making the offer.I hear his agent is on holiday so nothing can be done, doesnt he have a mind of his own. I feel he is playing games trying to get the club to up the offer,if it was me I would say sign by 5 tonight or the contract offer is gone and we will offer you a 6 month deal on reduced wages Do you know if we are looking at anyone else. Would make sense to keep the offer on the table until we get a replacement. No point cutting off our nose.... As long as we are looking and/or happy the only one running out of time is Taylor yes from what I have been told from outside the club we are looking at 2 strikers a young one from a top premiership club and 1 from this division,if 1 signs this week MT is history

With the changes to the loan system meaning that emergency loans will be a thing of the past, could it be that MT is holding out until beyond the transfer window for a desperate club to come in and pay the kind of money he's after? I assume clubs will still be able to sign free agents after that point?
Probably a nonsense theory but it entered my mind.

Hearts are my Scottish team and doubt if they could afford him. There has been no news of this on the Hearts forums for a while now, think it has been dismissed as nonsense. But he did have a pre contract in place. That was confirmed at least. I was quite content with not being in any rush but now I think we are getting to critical mass point and we need the players in so we can get them bonding and playing as a unit. I had hoped we would not see protracted situations, like when we were after JJOT. Surely MT can make his own mind up, if true about his agent ( Coles) being on holiday. I would have to question any agent who decided to go on holiday when it's that time of year when they should be doing their most important work Many Danny Coles want to meet in the car park ! It was never confirmed that he had a pre-contract agreement with Hearts or anyone else. Just rumour.

Sorry but I will sit and wait until someone feels they may need a footballer. I can't imagine anyone being willing to take a player on who thought that way and who was not playing football

I can't imagine anyone being willing to take a player on who thought that way and who was not playing football You say that but I honestly think that situation will crop up at some point. The emergency loan window was extensively used in the lower leagues so the bargaining power of a free agent from the start of September will be considerably higher than it was previously, assuming clubs are still able to immediately sign them. We know from history that clubs in the Championship will react drastically if they get off to a poor start so it's quite feasible they would pay over the odds to get in a goalscorer who might change their fortunes. It's a slightly out the box theory I do confess.

Still an option as far as I know. It really does seem that MT and/or his agent are pushing this to the extreme Hearts are my Scottish team and doubt if they could afford him.
