If he carries on like this when he does return to the Mem there'll be a forwarding address!

Is Matty Taylor still training with us does anyone know, or has he just disappeared into the wide blue beyond?

Is Matty Taylor still training with us does anyone know, or has he just disappeared into the wide blue beyond? The last I was told, he is training on a one to one basis with a personal trainer. As I see it, this is now at a stage where he could become damaged goods. If he is not training with the team then he is not picking up on the team spirit and the longer this goes on, I see him maybe ending up somewhere lower down. When I did interviews, albeit in a sales role, I gave limitations on acceptance of the jobs. I would hope we have done the same.

Not training with us or anyone else,he is running out of time, missing at least 4 pre season games. If he had any offers, concrete or not ,he would have signed for whoever was making the offer.I hear his agent is on holiday so nothing can be done, doesnt he have a mind of his own. I feel he is playing games trying to get the club to up the offer,if it was me I would say sign by 5 tonight or the contract offer is gone and we will offer you a 6 month deal on reduced wages

It's turning into a Comedy Of Errors for me, almost approaching a farce. What on earth has happened to all the clubs that were interested in signing him? Was it all paper talk driven by his agent I wonder? But whatever the reality of his situation is, he appears to be doing things the hard way cos July 1 is now long gone.

To take a hard line - nothing to do with us anymore it could be said.

I would probably suggest MT finds himself a new agent? Top goalscorer available on a free, i am sure teams would be interested but the agent is trying to get too much. And all the agent is doing is missing out on a pay day for himself

Will probably end up at one of the 'bigger' sides in this league & no championship football after all this dicking around.
What a shame it's gone down this way. Interesting week or two ahead where MT is concerned.

Would make sense to keep the offer on the table until we get a replacement. No point cutting off our nose.... As long as we are looking and/or happy the only one running out of time is Taylor

Wasn't that in McGhee days? What's odd MT hasn't returned to pre-season even if he avoided the competitive games, surely that's the clearest signal he has no intention of playing here this season? Why don't the club just announce that?
