I don't want to swap my 23 game season ticket for a 19 game one. I don't care if its arbitrary, I'd rather go to more games than less. I'd back an idea to increase it to three divisions of 32 teams! Well at least your position's consistent - quantity is the crucial factor! Could I convince you to take another look at the plans if it was agreed to go with 38 games a year but extend every game by 5 minutes?........
Having reconsidered I have come to the conclusion that this all probably offseason BS anyway designed to get the Football League a bit of extra press in the run up to playoff finals.

What I would not support is a mechanism to bring in Premiership 'A' teams via the back door - that should be resisted at all costs. I wonder if that is what the expansion of the Football League Trophy is actually about.... And that is exactly what it will be about Growing income from overseas will form a big part of the strategy and the appeal of overseas 'fans' being able to watch 'their' premier league team albeit second string As with the additional change of rules put forward after 18 months and producing nothing of real relevance both the football league and the rules association have no idea what the average fan would like to see imo
