If my prediction is right, regretfully we come 4th due to inferior goal difference to Oxford. (Please check my maths) If we win all 5 and the rest stay the same we come second on goal difference above accy. Stanley have the very easiest run in and should take 15 points. I think portsmouth and plymouth are definitely playoffs.

Wycombe is Accy hurdle as much as Exeter is ours.
I would still rather play York and Daggers last two, then any of our rivals..

I've not thought through the permuations in your detail (good work), but in this division I think WWDWW would take us into 3rd, as others may lose, but WWDWW won't be easy.
Yeovil at The Mem and then away to Stevenage. Winning both would put the pressure on.

It won't be anything like that. I don't think accs run in is easy at all. I think we're finish 2nd

Thanks for doing all the hard work looking up fixtures etc. Whatever combination of results you have it is going to be very very close. So many managers you hear talking are full of bull**** but DC seems to be very grounded and whenever he's been faced with problems such as our home form in the Autumn or a bad February he has found a way to overcome it. Reading some of the threads on PASOTI (Plymouth) it might appear that they have little faith in their manager being able to overcome their problems at the moment. (How can you be in meltdown when you are 5th after a good season?) I've posted elsewhere but we need to take one match at a time. Beat Yeovil, the most important match if the season and then Stevenage becomes the most important match. Then the next, then...... I feel that if we could win back to back matches in next two we put all the others under real pressure. But I suspect Accrington fans will be saying the same! UTG!

Interceptor , If its that easy to predict the scores no doubt your betting has made you a millionaire a few times over!! Football just doesn't work that way and there will be more twists and turns before the season ends and all I will predict is that automatic promotion will be from Oxford, Accrington, Portsmpouth, Ourselves and Plymouth. Any two from those five!

This is a typical go to the wire scenario. There's no saying how it will end, but these situations usually favour the in-form club that's on a roll - like us. How many times hasn't promotion been decided by a last gasp equaliser at another ground when everyone thinks it's over? There's usually an Aguero moment in every league. Let's hope it's our turn this year, we're certainly making our own luck at the moment.

I knkw I have no right to deny a club such as Accrington their part in this but it does really bug me that they have somehow managed to get this far on such low attendances and with a small squad. I don't think any of us has said it but well bloody done Accrington. They are the only team that I really wouldn't fancy having to play in a play off game. They seem to be a fine example of how to get their club running and well, on a tight budget.

We ignore any of these teams at our peril, we cannot rely on any of them slipping up, whatever sort of form they are in none of them are going to give up. All we can do is win, if we don't then others (like Accrington) will take advantage. I have to say I greatly admire what Stanley 'the club that refused to die' are achieving. Obviously I want us to win promotion over them but I won't begrudge them promotion if they do it.

If it comes to a play off final then I'd rather have argyle than Pompey or Oxford who like us have recent experience of playing at Wembley but would hate to play Accrington at Wembley as I doubt they would take 10k anyway all acedemic as I think we will sneak 3rd spot on goal difference

I reckon we will go up on goal difference, banging 6 past the Daggers on the final day.

Only natural for us all to look ahead at everyone's last 5 games, trying to predict how it'll go etc..., I'm as guilty as anyone. But currently changing mindset and concentrating on Yeovil & Yeovil alone this Saturday. Win that, see what happens elsewhere and then onto Tuesday.

My bet is that every single one of the clubs that are in the mix will suffer from nerves. We have experienced this already and have the players still with us who have gone through it. I believe that gives us an advantage. I still think Wycombe will be in the mix, they missed out last season and will want to be there or thereabouts this season. Certainly going to be an exciting end to the season and that's great and especially when we can all remember the last part of many seasons, having nothing to really play for once we had made sure we couldn't get relegated.

My point has been and I agree with what you say, it's all about the next match, win that and move on to the next match, win that....but we still look at what others do that's only natural. UTG!

Play offs please, another trip to that there London and another penalty shoot out, life is to short to miss out on such extended drama, or perhaps not! I don't know if my body and mind can take it again. I have always known that Rovers are a big part of my life but I never ever expected to actually be in tears. When that final penalty went in, I went into an uncontrollable bulb, I couldn't stop myself and I realised just how deeply the relegation hurt me. The joy and relief were palpable and I have only ever reacted like that when suffering a bereavement. As much as I enjoyed the experience, I really would prefer to take the auto spot. I am a notoriously bad loser and I really wouldn't want to be coming back to Bristol as a losing finalist. Please lord, give us a helping hand over the finish line.

I actually think Accie have 2 tough away games to go; Wycombe, as we know too well, can winkle out a result due to their mean defence and Accie have to go to Hartlepool, last 9 games : won 6, drawn 2 and lost 1 !! I think Oxford, have enough easy games to go up, so it's US, Accie and Pompey for 3rd. Argyle are not in good enough form to last the pace And agree with o2 about the last two - dream opposition surely !?
