Thanks for doing all the hard work looking up fixtures etc. Whatever combination of results you have it is going to be very very close. So many managers you hear talking are full of bull**** but DC seems to be very grounded and whenever he's been faced with problems such as our home form in the Autumn or a bad February he has found a way to overcome it. Reading some of the threads on PASOTI (Plymouth) it might appear that they have little faith in their manager being able to overcome their problems at the moment. (How can you be in meltdown when you are 5th after a good season?) I've posted elsewhere but we need to take one match at a time. Beat Yeovil, the most important match if the season and then Stevenage becomes the most important match. Then the next, then...... I feel that if we could win back to back matches in next two we put all the others under real pressure. But I suspect Accrington fans will be saying the same! UTG! Come on Wareham !!! You are not doing what you are preaching !! ha ha !

We ignore any of these teams at our peril, we cannot rely on any of them slipping up, whatever sort of form they are in none of them are going to give up. All we can do is win, if we don't then others (like Accrington) will take advantage. I have to say I greatly admire what Stanley 'the club that refused to die' are achieving. Obviously I want us to win promotion over them but I won't begrudge them promotion if they do it. But will you begrudge them their manager ?

I have to be honest, I don't even know who he is, that's how little notice I take of other clubs so it won't make much difference to be honest

Accy haven't won 5 in a row all season (4 was the most), so to now go 6 undefeated is unlikely (not impossible but unlikely)

All very winnable games - I would imagine that 4 wins from 5 would probably do it but Accrington's run in looks even more favourable so who knows?
I think it will go to the wire but I fancy Oxford and Pompey to edge us both out.

The players are experienced in this pressure cooker situation, are great team players and really do play for the shirt. Wael has also given them a nice little Brucie bonus to go up in an auto spot & then the added holiday in Vegas as the cherry on the top. I really do believe. Never ever thought I'd be saying that but I like it. Land now you're gonna believe us, THE GAS ARE GOING UP !

You see I got it completely spot on other than a few exceptions. I think 25% of the prediction correct is very acceptable

If my prediction is right, regretfully we come 4th due to inferior goal difference to Oxford. (Please check my maths) If we win all 5 and the rest stay the same we come second on goal difference above accy. Stanley have the very easiest run in and should take 15 points. I think portsmouth and plymouth are definitely playoffs. Portsmouth v Plymouth Sat 16 April - draw York v Portsmouth Tue 19 Apr 19:45 - away win Portsmouth v Wycombe Sat 23 Apr 15:00 draw Wimbledon v Portsmouth Tue 26 Apr - lose Hartlepool v Portsmouth Sat 30 Apr 15:00 - away win Portsmouth v Northampton - lose Accrington v Morecambe Sat 16 Apr 15:00 - win Hartlepool v Accrington Tue 19 Apr 19:45- win Accrington v York Sat 23 Apr 15:00 - win Wycombe v Accrington Sat 30 Apr- draw Accrington v Stevenage Sat 7 May 15:00 -win Portsmouth v Plymouth Sat 16 Apr 15:00 - draw Leyton Orient v Plymouth Tue 19 Apr 19:45 - away lose Plymouth v Dag & Red Sat 23 Apr 15:00 - win Cambridge v Plymouth Sat 30 Apr 15:00 - draw Plymouth v Hartlepool Sat 7 May 15:00 - win Oxford Utd v Luton Sat 16 Apr 15:00 -win Newport v Oxford Utd Tue 19 Apr 19:45 - win Oxford Utd v Hartlepool Sat 23 Apr 15:00 - win Carlisle v Oxford Utd Sat 30 Apr 15:00 -lose Oxford Utd v Wycombe Sat 7 May 15:00 - lose Bristol Rovers v Yeovil Sat 16 Apr 15:00 - win Stevenage v Bristol Rovers Tue 19 Apr 19:45 - win Bristol Rovers v Exeter Sat 23 Apr 15:00 -draw York v Bristol Rovers Sat 30 Apr -win Bristol Rovers v Dag & Red Sat 7 - win As they say its a funny old game ,I would of agreed with your prediction, but it was only 1 out of 4

See, see how spot on I am. There is money to be made following my predictions. Regretfully it is being made by the bookies.

I don't care what anyone is predicting, we have to win our last two games and hope either Oxford or Accrington either lose or draw just one of their games.

But forget about D/R and just concentrate on York. Aim to win it and put out a team that will allow us to do it. We have to keep concentrating on one-match-at a time. Win that and move on. Am not even going to repeat the home match stats since losing to Stevenage in November, tempting fate. If we beat York I think we will go up so let's concentrate on that. Of course it's only my opinion!! UTG!!

If you're going to be Mr Picky then we simply need to finish in third place or above. We can do that without winning both. That's true but we then have to rely on Accrington losing their last two games and us getting two draws, not impossible but very unlikely. Drawing one game and losing one won't get us into the top three and if Plymouth were two win their last two games us not winning either allow them to go above us. The whole point of winning the last two games is that we give ourselves maximum opportunity and apply maximim pressure should either of the two teams above us slip up and prevent anyone below going above us. Even if we win the last two games there is no guarantee we'll get an automatic promotion place, destiny isn't in our own hands we are relying on either Accrington or Oxford to drop points.

If we win and Stanley draw on Saturday there could be a scramble for goal difference on the final weekend.
i think we are 2 better than them now. Let's say we improve that over them by one on the penultimate weekend. They would then need to beat Stevenage by 3 or more than we hopefully would beat daggers.
All ifs, buts and maybes but a lie down in a darkened room may be the order of the day on May 7th

All ifs, buts and maybes but a lie down in a darkened room may be the order of the day on May 7th I think it's slightly better than that as a win for us and a draw for them would leave us with at least +28 and them still on +25. If we only beat Daggers by 1 goal, they'd need to make up +4 on their final game (win by 4 or more). They'd only need to match our GD to finish above us in this scenario as they'd have scored more goals in order to make up the +4

All ifs, buts and maybes but a lie down in a darkened room may be the order of the day on May 7th I don't think that will be an issue to be honest. For that to happen, we'd be +3 at least going into the final weekend, and Accy would have to win at least 4-0 to level it up, if we won by the single goal.
