Both RG2 Gas and Northville Blue are correct, that was my understanding of the Guinness stand as well. A lot of people like to sit at football matches (myself included), and considering that for the last few games the seats have been virtually sold out, despite the fact that the crowds have not been close to capacity, then I would argue that providing more seating at relatively low cost would make business sense. It would also fill that ugly gap quite nicely. I guess it all depends on timescales for the new stadium really. If we are talking 2-3 years then why bother, if it could be 5-6 years then I would suggest we do it. Bearing in mind NB's past role with the Club, he ought to be bloody right!!

Could the new IT director ensure that we can apply for a season ticket on-line? Or at least be able to print out an application form on-line?
I take it the old board insisted on the IT director remaining...............?

Would be nice if there was a board, or frame, backing the clock to make it stand out more. Maybe a white backing with the words 'Tote End' in blue, curving round it at the top half. ... Then start work on the Geoff Bradford statue.

So low hanging fruit.
A couple of weeks into the new regime and we get a working scoreboard (that apparently doesn’t cost much) and a lick of paint in the bars making them feel just that bit fresher and more appealing.
Small, quick wins that actually hints at a bit of professionalism and they mean business and will get things done

A very welcome gesture and a very good sign. Good stuff BRFC!

These aren't major things* but they're symbolically significant. They used to sit or drop off a long 'can't be arsed' list for years; now they're seen as things that would be good to be done, so let's get on and do them. That this should be as astonishing as it is kind of shows how low my expectations had become. The symbolism is that the total experience and approach matter; the fans need to be treated with respect; and 'that'll do' won't do. That's a great set of principles. Compare and contrast with Santa's Grotto, propped open with a traffic bollard.
* Actually, they're not big things for close season or a sooner rather than later agenda, but to spot it, organise it, and do it in two weeks flat is really quite an achievement.

These small touches shouldn't be underestimated. The buzz in the bar at half time about the paint job, extra bar staff and working scoreboard was great. a really simple way to give us all a real feeling of at last things are going to improve. long may it continue!

Just to clarify, that's what I was saying. My 'These aren't major things' was probably phrased better by your 'These small touches'. Either way, they make a world of difference.

Install some decent hand driers in the toilets, for a place where they serve hand held food they are a disgrace, and probably break hygene rules. Hand driers now considered to be less hygienic than paper towels. And less environmentally friendly! In that case lets have some paper towels and a bin please, because there ain't any at the moment

It's all about timescales I suppose. No point spunking loads of dosh on the place if we're going to be leaving in two years. However, if the negotiations with the UWE mean a resubmitted planning application then it would be good for some more easy wins at the Mem.

A couple of bins and paper is hardly spunking a load of money. A lick of paint is hardly spunking a load of money. There are no bins to stick rubbish in and they can be bought for such little cost.

Totally agree KP! I think we are all used to bugger all being spent there so our aspirations are so low! What a total shambles the last lot were

We were told for years we were moving or redeveloping so it was a waste of time and in the end nothing gets/got done. It wouldnt have been hard a few seasons a go to buy some paint and even ask for volunteers to do the painting,

I'd like a vibrating cock ring and natural viagra alternative machine in most if not all toilets.
