Did I mishear, or did she say they own the Four Seasons? A bit up from the Beeches. Nice place for a team overnighter next time we're away to Orient (or PSG). I wonder if they do mates' rates for fellow shareholders. That's what I heard as well . . . I think. I thought Frankie Valley did?

I have always found that people who have come from a family with money are very genuine and rarely talk about money. It's the ones who were poor than come in to money that tend to talk about it, and about what they could do with it. I am just waiting for a nice new stadium where I will be dry, and have a good view, rather than stand on a terrace with the man with the biggest head in Bristol and his mate with ears like open taxi doors both stood in front of me

The only acceptable debate concerning the quarters is whether the blue quarters should be (as one looks at it) top left and bottom right (BMW) or top right and bottom left (BRFC).

Agreed to see how this pans out first, some on here have been guilty of jumping the gun a bit and until we see the changes that the new ownership has made we should keep plodding on and supporting the club as usual.
Be classy gasheads...

All I'm taking from the fact that he's got money is that he could afford to buy the club and did. It's not uncommon for people who have shedloads of cash to be in that position at least in part because they don't go throwing it around everywhere. They might stop buying Smartprice custard creams for the boardroom though. Asda own brand at the very least now

I hope the owner knows he has responsibility to the local community and our heritage.
Given the disenfranchisement of supports at clubs who have similarly been bought by outsiders the local fan base may not be too high a priority. I see this takeover a bit like seeing an old man who thinks he's enjoying himself dating a girl a third his age and massively different from what one would expect.

Confirmed by Geoff Twentyman, the new Chairman has stated that the new owners will not be changing them. Thank goodness for that, the last thing we want is another owner similar to that lulu at Cardiff City, ours is obviously intelligent enough to realise that changing the colour of your shirt isn't going to provide you with any advantage. They would have to be lulu to change our shirts seeing as it is unique and highly marketable )especially when we are in the premiership) I wonder if this will herald a wholesale change in marketing in general - maybe someone will spot the uniqueness of our shirts/badge/heritage and start promoting it properly. This time yesterday morning I was an old cynic and after decades of disappointment had promised myself that if and when we hear some exciting news I will take it with a huge lorryload of salt. But I can`t help but feel excited now.

Hate to piss on your chips here fellas but we are a Championship club with a developed ground to push on for the PL and you are a basement league club with 8-10k attendances playing in a place I'm not sure is up to caravan site standards.
I think - as per usual - you've lost all sense of reality.
We are thousands of miles apart in many ways.
I'd concentrate on the likes of Barnet and Accrington than worry about our level?

Wow, i thought we wouldn't see you as you used to be quite level headed in your posts but the last couple that you've dived in on really do seem like you are angry and rattled. I have seen accusations of supporting a terrorist group to conspiracy on asset stripping if you are so haughty and above us then why the need to post on a forum that is not your own ? I think many 82 ers were so hoping we were going into admin and now this has truly messed that up.

We are thousands of miles apart in many ways. And yet paradoxically less than 5 miles apart. I agree with the sentiment though. I'd start with intellect. Certainly thousands of miles apart there.

I am level headed hence my point that already talk of passing us etc that I've read on here is just plain idiocy.
I don't know what you refer on the terrorist group etc so won't comment other than to say I'd much sooner a decent moral local Bristol billionaire owner than an Arab family any day just for stability alone.
We'd be fked without Steve L I know so i very grateful he cares like he does.
Btw I've never wanted a club anywhere to go into admin. Well maybe except Bolton for points reasons

...a decent moral local Bristol billionaire owner... What the actual duck?! Yes local Bristol. He lives in the Channel Islands so what. I live in Henley-on-Thames I'm still from Bristol like he is. On that note we've arrived at the Dons

We'd be fked without Steve L I know so i very grateful he cares like he does. Btw I've never wanted a club anywhere to go into admin. Well maybe except Bolton for points reasons I should have been clearer. I have seen some posts on Facebook and Twitter, by city fans, alluding to alsorts of crazy stuff. It has to be read to be believed. On a personal note, I've never been a hater so it kind of galls me when I see that kind of stuff. Nothing has happened as yet apart from an announcement and we will both have to wait and see how this pans out. Having suffered too many years of false dawns, I am not going to gloat or even post on my Facebook but I've already seen some of our lot put up memes with silly, plain dafty stuff and I wonder if they have selective memories what with the CAD mock ups of the UWE being posted in 2013 onwards. I sometimes wonder if some even use the brains they were born with. I guess that my age is a factor. Don't get me wrong, I am excited but not allowing myself to think of anything close to big just yet and I think people really need to listen to the guy speak when he has made certain comment. I certainly don't expect big things nor do I expect anything quickly.
