Has anyone heard any more about his injury? He doesn't seem to have featured for H'pool since, not even on the bench, and I can't see anything about him on their site. I think his loan is due to end in a few days.

Not wishing to read too much into things but the "Sale Items" section of the club shop has a picture of Ellis. You can also purchase a jester hat or a blue and white wig for knockdown prices.

Odd that we've heard nothing since his injury. Presumably there'll be some news soon.

I didn't ask and in all honesty would not expect him to say he would not sign,he wouldn't want to burn his bridges

Thought it was always going to be 3-4 weeks recovery period?

Thought it was always going to be 3-4 weeks recovery period? On the day they said maybe 2-3. After he'd had his scan on the Monday they said only 1 (he went straight back to Hartlepool that day iirc). Sounds more like 6 from what Padstow says.

Players can develop at odd times and be more responsive to different coaching, tactics and teams. I bet Gary linekar would have been shocking if he were in today's premiership

That's an option. I think Harrison needs game time, the right coaches and the right attitude. The last two may be there already but he'll not progress with current lack of games so something has to give.

Am I the only one who doesnt really care whether Ellis stays with us longer term? Obviously I hope he regains full fitness but over a some years he had failed to perform consistently imo Despite words from DC I dont believe he is the player he wants..... lack of application and not a sufficiently good enough football brain

As for his injury, since DC has been in charge it appears policy to not say to much about injuries and availability, I guess to potentially keep the opposition wondering

Thought it was always going to be 3-4 weeks recovery period? And when I said at the time of the injury that it would be at least a few months I was called a liar and other things on gas chat,ah well what do I know/.By the way my postings from now till the end of the season will be infrequent as now is the time clubs start looking for players to sign in the summer so looks like I will be here there and everywhere in the coming months, but if I get any updates on ellis I will try to let you know

I didn't ask and in all honesty would not expect him to say he would not sign,he wouldn't want to burn his bridges Wouldn't he be struggling to get a loan at that point in the season? I suppose clubs with nothing to play for might be tempted to have a look at him as a form of trial.

Infrequent postings from now on? We haven't seen you for months, if not years. I wondered where you'd gone. Maybe there's a few others hiding out on the other forum too. Maybe I'll have a look one day ... or maybe not.
