Most common grammatical error is the misspelling of MorecAmbe which more often than not is spelt MorecOmbe on both forums.( or should it be spelled.....)
You are a bit hung up on this subject - I know I have been reprimanded by you!

I think the fact there is only a few threads is a positive, as they tend to be reflective. No bad thing if there's a bit of barnstorming or even a bit of namecalling now and again, but everything in moderation.
I use Twitter for my 'infobursts' on whats happened in the rovers world (e.g. finding out about Ellis' loan 10 seconds after Darrell had announced it). And twitter is the place for sharp, gas-related comedy - LSN & Gascast crews and loads of others providing a production line of light chortles.
Twitter is the modern motorway, gasheads.org is Leigh Delamare (in a good way)

This forum has similar threads but they don't degenerate into pages of personal abuse and have people use it to let loose their alter ego & that's being kind. I don't want to be drawn into a slanging match but it just got too silly for me and so I banned myself. I don't see any reason why having two forums is a bad thing. I was welcomed and accepted here, by most but the mods here will act much sooner and won't tolerate the bulk of what the other one does. I get along very well with Hugo and many on gaschat but I much prefer here and I hope that I've learned a thing or two while here. could you not appeal against your self ban? Um. I'll pass thanks all the same . I enjoyed it up until it just got very very juvenile and personal crap started and I have had a little look recently. It has got worse if anything. You have a mod who pretends to be some sort of pseudo Scot and another who pretends to be Ålan Sugar. It is the comedy forum. If it's banter you want the. That's the place, for sure

I've only ever lurked since the closure of the official forum a couple years ago (is that how long it's been?).
Gaschat has its purpose but I personally don't like it. It's busy and childish. I chose to stick with this forum to get my news and views as it's easy access and has sensible content.
Keep it open, keep it moderated.
Good work to all involved behind the scenes.

I like this forum. It has a very laid back feel to it. I imagine everyone on here is around 70 years old and smokes Woodbines. I'm 50 this year and vape........(which was very handy at Wembley!)

"...I prefer a forum that generally has posters using correct grammar. For example - using capital letters and punctuation where appropriate..." As in Eppinggas. Most common grammatical error is the misspelling of MorecAmbe which more often than not is spelt MorecOmbe on both forums.( or should it be spelled.....) But, is a misspelling a grammatical error? Surely grammar is concerned only with syntax and morphology? A misspelling is simply a misspelled word, nothing more. Discuss.

I think capitalising a letter in the middle of a word is a hideous grammatical error in itself.

this forum has a hardcore of bitter negative posters who only post when were losing or they can hammer the board over the new ground stuff, like the one called bamber something and others, the other forum is more balanced and has lots more fans on it imo the good news is we will have a bad run at some point and the appeal is coming up soon so then they can post again More balanced? A record breaking thread filled mostly with meaningless slang about the army and navy. Someone who thinks he is Alan Sugar and posts in his style. And a bloke who unfortunately has found this forum who is yet to grasp the fact that sometimes strikers have baron spells and if Matt Taylor didn't he would be playing premier league football. I'd rather dangle my nuts over an electric fence than join in that playground.

Will buy you a beer Sat my friend.Setting off early and meeting up with a friend from Hengrove school Iv'e not seen for 50 years traced via this forum. Kind of you. I would love to take you up but on another occasion. My wife, son and I are taking two friends who have never been to a match before. Husband and wife, who love Bath Rugby, don't swear and are thoroughly good wholesome people - should be hilarious!

Using three commas instead of ellipses. WTF. And I'm not even sure ellipses are appropriate in this instance as surely a comma would suffice. Capital letters? Full stops? This is simply not good enough. As far as I'm concerned the mods should get involved.

I look at both forums but I joined this one first and always look at this one first. Gaschat is fine, yes it can be a bit what people are saying but I have to remind myself that it's about opinions and not everyone is old and cynical like me and will even enjoy pretending they are someone else.....each to their own. Don't think it's a prob that the forums are different but over the time since I started posting I have enjoyed the postings of lots of people on gasheads and despite not knowing anyone feel pretty comfortable posting my views and responding to others. Think it's a good forum and always remember that we all have more in common than we have differences.... Watching Bristol Rovers preparing to play in the Premier League! UTG!
ps. I hope the punctuation is ok. (Do you put a full stop after ps?)

but going back to the original post why is this forum dropping back in numbers viewing and posting while gaschat seems to gain in strength despite some of the crazy arguments etc on there?
