Being linked with a return in January. Worth noting he ticks the boxes of being ex-Rovers and played alongside DC at Salisbury!

I don't think I can cope with a fourth Clarke.

I hate old players coming back, they are never as good as you remember them, and what is special about him? Nothing

Nothing Unfortunatly there is an element of supporters at the gas, that have a burning obsession with resigning former players. Regardless of where they have been or where they are now, folk seem to think we would be signing the exact same player that walked out of the door. The Cureton thing being a prime example. Bizzarre.

Can't see the point . At his best he wasn't good enough for us. Why should he be good enough for us now? I would rather stick with Mildenhall but personally I would sign either Nicholls or another keeper with no Rovers connections.

At his best he was easily good enough for us, but he never reached his best before he left us.
As Chewbacca says, he literally ticks all the boxes!

Its got nothing to do with him being from Patchway or playing for us before, in this case. For me, he's an experienced keeper with a solid record and we presumably we need a keeper if Puddy's broken again regardless of whether Mildenhall is deemed good enough or not. I'd take him on a six-month deal over another kid on loan.

Yep, it's a bit of a myth that it never works out well for returning players, just one of those clichés that seem to get trotted out that actually have no basis in truth. Sometimes it works out like it did for Paul Randall, and sometimes it ends in tears (Here's hoping it doesn't end like that for Chris Lines)

If he does come back we'll have Lines, Lockyer, Harrison, O Clarke and R Clarke having all come through the youth set up.

If the rumours true was he being lined up to replace Mildenhall as our No 2 or Puddy as No 1 given he's only No 2 at Northampton at present? Will things change if Puddy is now out long term again?
