At the training ground this a.m. Should be signing later today. Brother of Rob Sinclair who has just signed a two year deal with FGR.
DC happy that he has got the two best players Salisbury had. Aged 25 midfielder.
Watched him doing 5 laps of the training ground with the others. Looks quite nippy and has a good engine. Miles ahead of the others at the end of the run.
Asked about Mildenhall and Smudger. As far as DC knows they are both happy and both staying.
DC is still looking for 4 others

Buckle was right all along about lowering expectations.

Have you seen a lot of him, if you have what type of player is he? Pointless putting stats about him, as like you said before, you can't always go by stats.

Amazing/Great/Fantastic/Awesome signing. Delete as applicable happy clappers and repeat after me "chairman Higgs is great, chairman Higgs our supreme leader, chairman Higgs we love you."

I'm glad our assessment of a players' suitability has come down to laps of the pitch - I might head up my nephew's school and see if any of them lot are looking nippy with good engines. (No dig. Just having a laugh).

I guess posters are irratated on here that they can't whing about DC not signing players, we can draw judgement on whether they are any good or not when we see them in action.

I reckon the call to sign him went a bit like this:
DC - "Stuart, it's Trigger, I'm well out of my depth here mate, PLEASE come and help."
SS- "Whats wrong Trigger?"
DC - "I'm supposed to be putting together a promotion challenging squad, but the only players I know are Salisbury players and discarded crap from other west country strugglers that Marcus could remember from when he was sober."

If Sinclair is a defensive midfielder then i think it's look more likely that Lockyer will move into right sided centre half position and with Santos gone i think the chances of 3-5-2 is looking more likely. If DC wants to play 4-4-2 then 3 of the 4 he wants will need to be wingers and i can't see us finding as many as that who will be a better option than Brown & Smith.

Of course Brizzle, you are right in what she said. Mind you looking at her then, I would have sold my country out for two cheese sandwiches to spend a little while with her. But not of course my club!
Topper, you are of course correct. Let's judge the players when we actually see them play.
Gashead Wes. With all due respect you are not the only one with a judgement of other players. Perhaps DC knows some players better than you. I don't know why so many on here hold you in such thrall the way they do. If you just stuck to hopefully advising rovers of players you think worthy of a look fair play. But in fact you have suggested about 200 players so far this close season, do you think that can be taken seriously? Anyone can do that. In fact on the Gaslist, as Ian can tell you, there is a guy called Chris Graham, based over in East Anglia. He has suggested many players who have gone on to better things. He also comes up with some brilliant ideas for bettering our club off the pitch. I am told that at last he will be heard.
Just plug three of four that are your top rated players, and approach DC . He will always have time for you. Take my word for it. But of course if you want rovers to learn anything from the fan base it doesn't pay to take the p*ss like you do. Show some respect and you might, just might get heard.
That can only help everyone connected with rovers to move forward. It's not just the board that have to learn.
