On radio Bristol now "They didn't play any better football than us". 4-0. Yep, and all of their players would have got into the Burnley team! Tou couldn't make it up he's a comic genius. It would be good if R Bristol could get him to clarify a bit though. Like so you mean if all your players were playing for them and theirs for you, the score would have been the same? The mans either a complete an utter buffoon, and complete and utter buffoons are rare or he's trying to get sacked with some nice compo.

Most of my City pals are of the opinion that Cotts is the right man but hasn't been backed enough moneywise in the transfer market. Best case scenario as far as this thread goes is the City board look at the double from last season, decide Cotts has earned a whole season in the championship and keep him on w/ an increased player budget.
Best case scenario overall is the above happens but Cotts really is s**t at that level and he takes them down anyway.

Bristol City manager Steve Cotterill: "What's happening now is we need more chances to score a goal. It's hard trying to create chances game after game after game and not take them. "I think we played equally good football to Burnley and, if not, then at least in the second half. Their third goal was against the run of play. "If you put any one of our lads into Burnley's team, then they wouldn't have looked out of place. "If we could have had one, two or three of Burnley's players, then I think we'd have won the game - that's the difference
he'd be great on stage.............sweeping up!!!

Reminds me of a Glenn Roeder interview!! I love hapless managers when they manage your hated teams!

I travelled up, saw us lose to a Premier league side in all but name but everyone gave their all.
i stood and applauded Cotterill and he came over and spent a solid amount of time applauding us too.
he'll get us out of this because we'll stay in this division because we're a Championship club and a championship set up.
the lower leagues? That's for tinpot "ragbag" clubs as the man once said.
onwards and upwards.

Whatever happened to him? Cotterill took us up walking a division you can't get into at the moment and against the odds too. he turned this club around and going by the support all around me today continues to enjoy the backing of real fans. Gray was superb. He and the likes of B***** were the difference today but we still came up and played very well. thats all I ask of the team.

Still doesn't think much of his own players then?! So long as the supporters do I guess.
