ALL supporters of Bristol Rovers are invited to The Wellington Pub, Horfield, in the marquee, (opposite the Mem) for an organised meeting.
On Tuesday 10th June at 7.30pm.
We are calling this meeting to bring ALL supporters together especially those of you who are frustrated and angry at the lack of action (and the pace of it) from within the club to our fall from The Football League.
Many of you are concerned that The Board has decided to review itself and therefore there is probably little chance of change from TOP to BOTTOM at the club which we think is needed.
The aims of the meeting are to establish what the GREATEST concerns of supporters are, what do we want to happen/change and what we are prepared to do to make it happen/change.
We have been pressing the Board to engage with supporters, but there has been little response from them. We hope many of you will come so that The Board will be made aware that we want to see ACTION and CHANGE now, which we hope will persuade them to listen to us fans.
So, If you are curious about who and what we are, come along. If you have something to say in support, come along. UNITED in the cause of getting Rovers back up the leagues !
Feel free to pm any thoughts and to back the meeting. Please don't just sit back and accept things !!

Will Brian Seymour Smith and Ken Masters be in attendance so they can listen to the concerns expressed and then as our fans representatives on the board make representations to them on our behalf ?! The BoD must be swamped with our views from various social media sources so how do you propose to make them aware of the concerns raised at this meeting and ensure they take notice of what is said and then act upon it. Don't forget the last response they gave to us expressing our views was to close down the Official Fans forum and disenfranchise nearly 10,500 people's views, if you like a sort of two fingered response ! Give me and others on this forum some idea how you propose to get the views expressed at this meeting to the Board otherwise it is just going to be a load of hot air being expressed that will just float away into the ether. I'm sorry, the time for being 'curious' has long passed many of us and doesn't inspire me sufficiently to make a round journey of 70 miles.

If you really are concerned about the future of the club then please attempt to hold your meeting at the stadium. I am sure it will be easier to get representatives of the club to attend if you invite them to a meeting within the stadium.

I'm slightly unsure what this meeting is designed to achieve. Any attempt to unite fans is obviously admirable, but what's the end goal of the meeting and what will follow on from it?

Ideas and a way forward. Exactly the same as the BRISCA I assume Strung Out. I've no idea who is orgasnising this meeting, but wouldn't it be an idea for one of the BRISCA organisers to pop along and inform people of the up and coming BRISCA and suggest supporters take a look.

Sure basel - I've been in touch with one or two of the people who I think are involved, but other that a group of fans meeting up to talk about the club, I don't know what else is going to come out of it. BRISA is designed to give a formal and united voice for all fans to get involved in campaigning for changes in the way the club is run. Without the formal structures of something like BRISA, I struggle to find what weight this meeting will have in doing anything. I could be wrong of course

Seems about right to me.

This is "half assed" (if I take your meaning)I agree Oldie, but it isn't pretending to be the be all and end all of 'organisation' or 100% commitment towards a clearly defined path that will unite us all' etc. Rovers supporters don't have that yet. But,it is an effort to try and make sense of it all. It's an opportunity for the up and coming BRISCA to make a representation and introduce their ideas to fellow Gasheads and invite them to consider their way forward. It's an opportunity to socialise and have a pint. So it seems a decent enough idea to me.

I can see it ending up like this if it's not well organised:
Presumably there will be some statement of what the meeting is meant to achieve and not just an open free for all, which wil not end amicably over a bag of cheese and onion and a pint, given the very strong feelings at the moment.
