Yep, all covered up and used as a dog poo depository now. I'd say "a shame" except its not really, its just change. It'd be a concrete carbuncle if it were still there and unused. Talking of still there and unused, I've brought the thread back on topic

Ospina is injured but is rumoured to have one foot out of the door already, Szczesny out on a season long loan (and with the way his Father was shouting his mouth off, it's unlikely that he'll be coming back) so Matt is a legitimate 2nd choice keeper there at the moment, so it's a question of whether he's good enough to take the chance.

How old is he, one assumes that Petr Cech will be around a couple of years maybe Matt will mature into a competent enough goal keeper for Arsenal to trust him to take on 1st choice duties eventually ?

Cech has at least a couple of years left in him, so Matt isn't going to be first choice for a while, but I've always thought that Cech was one of the best keepers ever to play, so training with him won't harm Matt one tiny bit.

I wonder *tongue in cheek!* if we could get MM on loan when Nicholls time here expires?

It could be Cech mate for him for the next few seasons

Just looking at the Arse fixtures, they have The Owls away in the League Cup on Tues, Wenger said yesterday that Ospina is out until the next international break (whenever that is?) so there's every chance of Matt getting a game.

Hoping this works Wow, fantastic KP. Going there now you'd never know in a million years there used to be anything like that there. Had many good sunny Sunday's at the Blue lagoon. You could leave and get your fish n chips and were allowed back in. I thought that top diving board was so high ! I also was stunned to find out that the top board at Weston was only 10 metres. We were terrified of that one but did it anyway. We are sadly lacking the open air swimming areas now. Chippenham was great too. I have the fondest memories of the Blue lagoon though. My dad used to love seeing my face when he said we were going. Happy days indeed.

Oh dear, Cech starting for The Arse tonight Wenger talks a lot about mental fatigue with his goalkeepers, so it doesn't look like he has much confidence in Matt yet?

We used to cycle down there from Southmead, looks bigger on that photo, but like you that diving board seemed really high. We also used to go to the lido in Fishponds and of course Henlease lake, much preferred open air fresh water, rather than getting sore eyes at the swimming bath
