It is funny, but I'm not sure we 'officially' should be making light of such a blatant piece of cheating. Is that from the official site? I hope not because no, we definitely shouldn't.

No it's absolute bulls*** from a bitter and blinkered fan. It doesn't reflect reality in any way, shape and form, and I'd direct 'Chris M' to have a ponder about Nick Hunt's behaviour, Krystian Pearce's behaviour, Green's behaviour and even Jensen's booking before looking to cast stones. We accept Easter dived, the rest of it is pure drivel. A fairly strong opinion expressed there astafjevs. I do hope that Chris M isn't logged-in to the forum, we surely don't want to offend and upset him/her any more than he/she already is. Mind you, I quite agree with you. I'd also query that if Mansfield fans were to be "driven away" from the game by a team standing up for itself, would anybody notice?

Blimey - has it come to this? I'm willing Yo-vile to get the three points this evening against the cheating thugs from Mansfield and their deluded bitter sad bunch of tw**ts masquerading as supporters.

But equally Chris M has posted . . . Is this a true reflection of the game by Chris M (a supporter of nearly 40 years mind), or have we been misinformed by all and sundry? No it's absolute bulls*** from a bitter and blinkered fan. I think that the result of the appeal will be announced this afternoon. So what are the odds of him being mentally prepared, in the event of being cleared I wonder? Perhaps a start from the bench . . . all being well. He's a footballer with hundreds of games under his belt, I'm sure he can cope with the uncertainty! The bench it is then.

Damn we're getting good at these appeals. Anyone checked the Mansfield forum to see how the decision has gone down? The real question is, why are we getting so many incorrect red cards against us? I was about to say the same thing. I don't see enough games to comment properly but from commentaries it often sounds like a lot of decisions go against us. Saturday, however, was ridiculous - the more the referee allowed Mansfield to get away with the worse they got, as I said on another thread they could have (and, perhaps, should have) finished the game with fewer than 9 men. Then again, Mansfield felt they were the victims of a weak ref... such is football! So that's two games so far this season (out of thirteen) where we have unfairly had to play with 10 men for over 45 minutes; fortunately, it didn't cost us on Saturday but arguably against Oxford it did. What do folks who attend week in and out think... do these things level themselves out?

Well we all seem to be agreeing with one another that the punishment didn't fit the crime as the incident he was sent off for didn't actually happen. We also seem to be agreeing that he purposely dived and therefore tried to gain an unfair advantage over a member of the opposition and should have been yellow carded. However because the FA decided to provide the game with the most incompetent referee I have seen in a long time, including last season, we seemed to have gotten away with it or rather Easter has, I hope DC reads Easter the riot act and fines him the maximum fine he is allowed to and makes him donate it to a worthy charity to try and at least persuade him not to perform again in the way he did and not bring our club into even more disrepute by CHEATING !

I don't believe that Jermaine Easter or BRFC did ''get away with it,'' because he was unable to play in the second half of the game due to him being shown the dreaded red card. And as that red card was subsequently rescinded, then logically he should have been available to us for the second 45 minutes, and not left sitting in the dressing room for something that he didn't do. I think that it's a mistake to confuse the alleged dive, and the alleged head butt incidents. Most people would agree that he did appear to dive, but that was not what he was subsequently (and incorrectly) punished for. And both the player and the club were incorrectly punished on the day. By the way, does anyone know if the two Mansfield players appealed their red cards? I see that neither played last night.

Hunt would have had no right of appeal, and there wasn't really any arguing against Pearce's was there?

I remember thinking after Wembley that the Puddy decision made up for all the inept refereeing we'd put up during our season in non-league.
