That would be a very good signing, remember him having an excellent spell on a season long loan with Northampton when they got to the play-offs a couple of seasons ago, think he spent most of last season as Wigans back up keeper in the championship.

Can't see him scoring many. No goals in 69 appearances, that's a terrible record. Still, if he can cause chaos in the box with his height, then who knows?

What's Chapman done wrong? Or is his month up?

What's Chapman done wrong? Or is his month up? Think his months up. Personally I think apart from his kicking he's no better than mildy.

Oh dear. So we are going back to the days of PT/LL and spending all our time arranging for one goalie after another on loan. How many loans are we allowed in one season? This will be the third in barely a month.

Would be very pleased with this signing. I like Chapman and think he's done well, but Nicholls is a highly rated keeper and had a great spell at Northampton a short while ago.
It may not be likely, but I'd love it if we could get him on loan with a view to a permanent. Either way, DC will have done very well to pull this off.

Hey ho, it is what it is.

Hope its a long term loan with a option to signing permanent Don't want to go through the loan keeper's saga of years past

I don't know but this seems to be an unnecessary problem. Personally I'd like to see a confident Mildy in goal and we have to pay him anyway so not like his wages will free up money for a striker.

Yes but prior to him being dropped there were loads on here saying he needs replacing - too slow getting down to shots not commanding his box and his distribution is poor - you can't have it both ways mate

One of my best mates at uni is a Cobbler and he rates him VERY highly.

It's down to Darrell and he has already had the conversation about the 1st team slot with Mildy. Puddy is badly injured. Preston not ready and for all we know Chapman might be recalled by Chesterfield. Rather have a Manager that planned ahead. Nichols is reputedly top drawer!

Planning ahead would have to been to sort this in the summer, not loaning a succession of kids.

Yes,but in fairness maybe he didnt expect Puddy to come back unfit or Mildy to come back a shadow of the player two years ago. DC did have a keeper in for a trial pre-season ,from memory an ex-MK Dons keeper ,cant remember his name, but he too became injured so I wouldnt wholly blame the manager for the current problem

Personally I feel DC should have told Mildenhall to look for a new club in the summer. Let's hope Nicholls is at least a 3 months contract or we could be on our 4th goalie in another month, if it is then, on paper at least, it looks a good signing.

Agree partially but the injury to Puddy was expected to be sorted over the Summer and has not only taken longer to resolve than expected but looks far worse now. Mildy had another year on his deal. Aaron Chapman was 25 on May 29th.

It's been difficult to judge Chapman's performances because he has had very little to do. Obviously DC has seen enough of him in training to not try and get him on a longer loan or Chesterfield did not want him to stay.
I think DC was hoping to start with Puddy this season but his injury did not respond to the summer rest as was expected. Harsh to blame DC imo.
Anyway let's hope Lee Nicholls signs for 3 months minimum to get some consistency.
