Nearly 6.30 and not a moan yet What's to complain about? Novice manager finding his feet against full time League teams. Team selection made difficult because of injury. First away defeat for almost a full year. Still in a play off position. Even Chelsea lose at home occasionally, these things happen. But most importantly, the transfer window is open untill 6pm Tues, so if we can locate £50,000,000 and then around £300,000 a week we still have time to bring in Benzema.

By all accounts the team gave a good account of themselves, and you can't win 'em all can you? Leyton Orient had a very good record going into the match, so I felt that the game would provide us all with a good yardstick as to the progress that we had made this season. From where I'm standing the problem position is still scoring goals, as it has been for a few seasons now.
Fortunately the transfer window doesn't shut for a day or two, so there is still a possibility that something can be done.

Nearly 6.30 and not a moan yet I suspect that they won't be too happy down in deepest south Bristol this evening though.

Scoring?! We need to create first. For the first time in 4 games we didn't carve out one decent goal scoring chance.
No panic.

I have absolutely nothing to moan about. Was always going to be a stern test. One goal margin would have been more representative but hey ho. Takes the edge off with a Bristol Sport home defeat.

I didn't go so feel not very qualified to moan.
I don't ever like losing, but if we have to, do it with grace and dignity and fight....as it seemed today.
Maybe less moaners lends its way to a galvanised, togetherness in our support base?

Maybe less moaners lends its way to a galvanised, togetherness in our support base? Nothing wrong with a good moan if you add some constructive words in there. Like you, I didn't go. I have never seen us do well there and just felt we would lose. Orient have quality players still raking in good money, that's why they are still playing for them I guess (don't we know the feeling) so its no biggie having lost away there, no goal threat is a bit worrying though, especially when that got us relegated when last in L2. Still, we lost 0-2 to Barnet away at a similar stage last season and we managed to run them pretty close! Brings us down to earth and will make them work harder im sure. UTG

Thanks, gashead1979, I agree. Good analogy with a similar trek, similar result and similarly (more refined) bookies fancied opponents.
I said to closest that we really could lose the first six matches of season before a ball was kicked. My logic was:
Cobblers. Ended season well with wily manager and always a struggle versus them.
Vile. Were a league 1 team last year and loose cannon. Tryin to drum up rivalry clouds issue.
Luton. Had their time in limelight last year and amongst bookies favourite. Signed Craig MS.
Barnet. Beat us to title and pretty much top of division last season. Still have Akinde, signed McClean.
Orient. Again, were last season league 1, plus were always going to be strong this year.
Ox. Made some decent signings, bookies favourite, have started previous seasons like a train.
Of course, not all these came to fruition, but it was/is challenging first 6matches compared to to the bottom six whom we've only played one team.
Way too early to complain.
Way too early to be taking league tables seriously.
Way too early to judge.
So, way too early to moan

Because some of us who come on this forum who were at the match are realistic about the capabilities of our team and in relation to how we played against a very good Orient team thought under the circumstances we played reasonably well and therefore have nothing to moan about. Thankfully there has been very little of it recently.....at least on here anyway....

We weren't great today and beaten by a better side on the day.
Our best chance fell to James Clarke late on and I'm not sure how he missed but other than that we never really looked like scoring.
Ref was pants but he was no worse for us than he was for them, soft penalty apart.
