So basically we're stuck with him or having to pay his contract off if he doesn't really want to be here, let's hope he comes back wanting to start a fresh at Rovers

So basically we're stuck with him or having to pay his contract off if he doesn't really want to be here, let's hope he comes back wanting to start a fresh at Rovers I would suggest that as there have been no offers the only chance Ellis has of a lucrative football career is with the Gas for the time being at least. Down to him to work his socks off, show the right attitude, die for the team and get back to his form of 18 months ago when he burst on to the 1st team scene very brightly. It's up to him to impress DC and him alone! Over to you Ellis and good luck!

I am realy pleased for Ellis. He is young and had a tough second pro season on and off the pitch las term. I really hope he takes the opportunity of forcing himself back into the Managers thoughts. UTG

I like the way Darrell Clarke operates. You would have to expect Ellis to be out on his arse if he screws up again based on Darrell's words. It looks to have been made pretty clear what is expected of Ellis, and if he wants to step up to the plate then it benefits all parties. If he doesn't then I suspect he will be frozen out - and with no apparent outside interest in him he will soon be looking for a new career.
Hopefully he can put the last 12 months behind him and prove his worth to us.

So no other club wants him,so we're stuck with him because of the long contract Ward gave him.
We lose Broghammer, will quite likely lose Santos but are left with this clown.
Great.

According to the article he is at least trying to prepare himself for next season, wherever that may be.
He did appear to have a troubled time last season, so let's just hope that he can sort himself out this year. He could well be an asset to us if he puts his mind to it.

Yeah, hopefully he really is going to get another chance, and DC really does want to work with him, and EH really will be trying to work his way back in the team, and this really will be a player we can call on next season. But I suspect it's all bulls**t coz no one wants him.

Not in the slightest bit surprised nobody wants him. The club probably looked into paying him off and knew it would be embarrassingly expensive, so had no choice but to transfer list him. He needs to work at getting back that extra yard of pace he seemed to lose out of nowhere, and actually start running at players again rather than stopping with the ball and trying to pick out a pass, because as a technical player he is one of the worse I've seen. Needs to use his pace and fitness to cause problems and make big efforts to change his attitude.

Him and Norburn are tainted. Luckily we managed to pay Norburn off though I thought he was one of the few capable of higher league football.

He is still at Rovers cause Ward gave him that contract and no other club is willing to pay a player of that standard anything like that kind of money. I mean can Yate afford that kind of wage. Clubs stuck with Ellis Harrison types do not mount promotion challenges, more likely to face the drop, again. Well done Higgs, hired Ward and signed the deal that sees us stuck with this 8th tier player. The foundations of this season being built on the ruins of the last few seasons of abject failure. Do we know the odds on Rovers to go down yet?

Hear what people are saying and hard not to disagree based on the self inflicted behaviour EH maintained last season. He is perhaps a lucky boy to be given a 2nd chance and perhaps that is more down to the fact no other team can afford him due to his contract at Rovers or because of his reputation as the football world is a very small world. Or maybe both reasons. However if EH has at last fallen off his lofty perch and woke up realising he is infact still a nobody in footballing terms and wants to get his head down and work again recognising he is at last chance saloon with DC I for one am prepared to wipe the slate clean and see what transpires because when he first broke into the 1st team he did demonstrate he could well be the next big thing to come out of Bristol Rovers. Capture that form and attitude again and who knows ... Carry on last seasons performance and good riddance.

Yet another waster reaping the rewards of the Rovers' 3 year contracts policy, even O'Toole had the decency to tear his own up, as I doubt anyone would have paid money for him either. I hope though that if he does go back to any of his billy big ball ways he is sacked with immediate effect, shouldn't be made mugs of by a 20 year old nobody.

The thing is about keeping him is that he can always rot in the reserves, if he decides not to try and we have to keep him he doesn't necessarily have to play.

I think Clarke has got Harrison where he wants him. Harrison will by now have realised that he has no other options if he wants to remain a pro.
He either now takes the job seriously in the one chance he has with a pro club, or it's back to college to learn a new trade.

The sad thing is, there are players with less ability who have established themselves in the Championship. A complete waster.

Pre-season will show whether he's turned the corner or not.
