They have spent more years in the League than Wycombe. No they haven't. Wycombe got promoted to The Football League in 1993, and have had 22 uninterupted years since. Barnet have spent a total of 18 years as a Football League club That's me telled then. What I should have said was that if the figure of 25 years for Barnet was correct then they will have spent more years in the League than Wycome. The point was that we've managed to nurture a healthy rivalry with Wycombe.

I do find the infantile posts from a few of the Barnet fans slightly annoying, but they are in stark contrast with their managers regular praise of our club and our fans.
Is that what has got under their skin?

I have no idea why some of their fans keep posting about them being Champions to wind us up, we definately got the better deal with the promotion and I'm glad they beat us to the title.

As far as I'm aware, this is just an 'innocent' wind-up based on some of your fans last year who were too arrogant and kept on belittling us just because we are a smaller club than you. There's no rivalry here and I'm pretty sure no one wants one.
I do agree the chant planned about your off field situation is wrong but the champions one is really just banter. Don't take it to heart. Every fan base has wind up merchants so don't judge us all because of a few.
We're not obsessed either. Once we've played you, you probably won't even be mentioned until we meet again in January or whenever it is. Oh and Allen just respects your club, that's not the reason for this whole thing. Let's just concentrate on the football shall we?

Plus the fact they spent an extra season non league over us as practice. I'd say we had the perfect non league season... to get promoted first time, only miss championship by 1 goal, maximise cash income via playoffs, and build a base for a steady future.

Where do you see BFC/BRFC final placings?

You're over analysing things again mate, chill! I don't think so. You could've bleated "another sign of how far we've fallen" every day since about 1993, and it would've been as tedious then as it is now To put it nicely, you've got the wrong end of the stick, pal. Thats not my agenda and sounds plain daft.

Nail on the head my friend. Forum posters seem to mistake the views of one or two idiots as being representative of the attitude of the whole fan base.

Where do you see BFC/BRFC final placings? I think most of us bees fans just want consolidation, ideally a top half finish. I think we can get it as long as others step up and replace our creative players from last season who have been let go. Akinde and MacLean could be a dangerous partnership and we have quick, direct wingers with a solid enough defence. For Rovers, I think you could really be up there in or near the playoffs but it's very early days. Seems like you have a good vibe around your club and that's helping you to push on. But I don't want to jinx anything. But I will be pissed all weekend if you score another late winner...

Fair enough mate, but I maintain that 80 per cent plus of others fans who say we boast of being 'massive' are wrongly reading between the lines or taking comments from other clubs too seriously- we are a big club in the league 2 level - not even the red half can contradict that... lets see a good game today....

"Easter was very average today, only scored a tap in calm down. He was slow, created nothing and added little except for a couple of flick ons. Mclean looked a better player." -Barnet forum What a knob.

McClean looked about as good as a dog poo bin at a cat show.

But I will be pissed all weekend if you score another late winner... I know our 3rd goal wasnt the winner but it was still a late goal I know its some of your fans who are a bit mouthy and this is aimed towards them: Pick on someone your own size, like Braintree or Alfreton for example. Stick to your own size and leave us and the rest of the big boys alone to play top dog

What happened to the strong defence good forward line and attacking wingers? Did they all get off the coach at Swindon?

Martin Allen's view of the game
He thought Rovers were "sharper, brighter and better" and deserved to win, but would have been very critical of the referee if it were not for his decision to uphold a policy of non-criticism. Incidentally, the ref was Ross Joyce. Remember him? 17th May 2015 at Wembley?
