We looked undercooked which is a worry but they were opposition full of premiership quality and international quality players, the attitude & honesty of this group of players we have and the passion from the manager will mean a top half finish is achievable, and when you consider the utter chaos off the pitch and the general weekly mishaps that are coming out of the club, i feel very sorry for DC. Agree with Henbury about Harrison, he was poor and has had a dreadful pre-season, looks unfit and the shadow of the player he was last season.

I thought we did OK against a team with real quality, the like of which we won't come up again this season.

It seems an odd Friendly list this season as we've had 3 virtually unwinnable home games.
Let's hope Brown, Mansel and Harrison are fit for Saturday when the season really starts.

FWIW, we did the same. Played a decent strength AFC Bournemouth side on Tuesday and were played off the pitch. Lost 3-0, could have been more if AFCB had wanted to go through the gears. Even Paul Sturrock said afterwards that he wished he hadn't taken the friendly. Still, at least we recovered well by beating City on Thursday night.

i went tonight and it was a tough game for us especially and you cant really get stuck in during a testimonial but i firmly believe its a great experience for our lads to play against a 1st choice west brom team from the premier league and there were some good individual performances from leadbitter lockyer lines sinclair montera and easter.

It's absolutely disgraceful!
The post-match pies are now £1.50!!!!....a hike of 50%.
I know we have legal costs to meet but there must be better ways!

You can hardly compare the result of a meaningless friendly to an FA Cup game, the fact we've been hopeless in all our friendlies is the worry, take that form into the first week of the season and we could suffer 3 defeats. It seems a bit like the kids shirts and the new physio, our friendlies were badly organised as we needed easier games to boost confidence not destroy it.
