DO we supporters just now sit back and accept another failure at our club ? What is the future going to be like if we carry on under the stewardship of Nick Higgs and Co ?
At best a yo-yo club between L2 and The Conference I suspect. It's not good enough for me and I hope for you - PLEASE READ ON !
A group of fans (as big or as small as necessary) get together to form a BRFC Supporters Trust (like at Newport County now and Pompey a year ago) and start raising money from supporters like you and me and also HOPEFULLY the wealthier ones to pledge substantial money in order to buy out Higgs and Co.
For me, relegation into Conference was the straw that broke the footballing Camel's back and now the stadium disaster is the straw that broke the management of the club's back !!
I'm prepared to give a lot of my time to get something going ( I did so by forming and running The Wellie Group - so you know I put my effort where my mouth is). I have ears that will help publicise this in the media. I will also contribute some money (don't have much sadly - I will pledge 1000 - 2000 quid) but every hundreds/thousands of pounds COULD count.
So Gasheads, let's get into action, let's save our club and claim it back and RUN IT PROPERLY !! Spread the word if you think it could possibly work. Let's consider getting people together to discuss how it could all be possible.
We continue to support the team, but in the meantime we can try to help make a better future for our club.
So
1.) Do you support exploring this project ? 2.) Would you pledge money if it was 100 % organised and transparent ? 3.) Would you give up some of your time to attend meetings / research ideas/ collate information etc ?
There's NOTHING to fear, probably hardly anything to lose and at least you'll know YOU HAVE DONE YOUR BIT to help potentially change our club for the better
P.S. Those who are anti this idea - PLEASE don't have a go at me I DON'T CARE !
Mark Czekalski a Gashead for 40 plus years ( my Dad a Gashead, brothers Gasheads, Nephews Gasheads and my little son A Gashead !!

Don't waste your time like others who have tried before. This will be the third failed trust. Unless the board agrees to engage with you or the club goes bust you have little chance of making a difference.

I personally think the time would be better spent with a team of committed and organised fans marketing the club to potential investors on behalf of the club, there is no shortage of people with the expertise in this field.
We have been told that NH has the club up for sale but does anyone know how/where and when the for sale sign went up and what strategies have been put in place to find suitable potential investors?
Mark, do you know roughly what the buy out figure is out of interest?

Any buy out figure will accumulate to no more then the value of the loan secured on the stadium. The current directors money is lost. If they expect a penny more then they will never find a buyer.

Sorry, good luck and everything but what makes you think you will succeed where the gas trust, ISA, Welly group failed? Been there, done that, fingers burned, etc.

They could close the business and just sell the site for residential development, that would get the money they have lost back and give them a few million to relocate, a long way from Bristol.

They could but maybe naively I am reacting to Higgs statement that he will sell if it's in the best interest of the club. I would hope that he insists that the ground is put into trust for future generations of gasheads. Now that really would prove he was telling the truth about the clubs best interests.

Really ? By whom ? They may well bue more interested in listening now, don't you think ? only way to get them out is to make their lives very uncomfortable, for the amount of damage they have caused the easy ride they enjoy is staggering. We need to find a way of getting behind the team whilst making our feelings towards the board publicly known. Outsiders looking in probably think we're all perfectly contented being a laughing stock.

I'm no expert, but don't discount the possibility that the BoD may one day decide to walk away from the club for nothing so long as the directors loans are left on the books.

It is on it's knees. Great idea Mark - but unrealistic given the current structure of the Board and the contempt with which they treat the fans.
