As transfers are so quiet and likely to be so for a while yet especially in prem I wondered who your 2nd team was if you have one. I was told by the manager of a Mike Ashley sports firm-you know who, that amongst the red half who admit it when buying the shirts its Liverpool. Mine is West Ham and remember the days in the 70's when two coaches would go from Brizzle to Upton Park every home game.
Sorry if this is an old theme - am new to this site

In the Prem, I've a soft spot for poor old Newcastle. Wouldn't buy a shirt or go to a game or anything though unless I happened to be there anyway.
Other than that - St Mirren (always liked the name), Benfica (saw them on holiday), Inter (they had the best strikers ever when I was a kid watching football Italia), and Ireland (I first got into football at USA 94 and England were not there)

Well as you can probably work out from my login my other love is the arsenal, no not a glory hunter, mum and the sperm doner were from the smoke so in the blood. Followed em since 1970, first game home to wolves 78 and bloody andy grey on fire for wolves. North bank then clock end, drunk nicked fined the works, but then it was the 80s, when it was £2.50 to get in, happy days, well except against millwall in fa cup, mental to say the least.

Yeah like thatdagnogo- in my case it always seemed that when Gas were away, the Hammers were home and the passion at upton park seemed to be on a par vwith the bigger games at Eastville..plus am a Bristolian but from hackney originally and lastly, the closest to PELE at the time were Alan Devonshire and Trevor Brooking! Not 'smash and grab'!

Hamilton Academical great club with a brilliant Schoolboy and Youth system so that despite crowds of less than 2500 they hold their own in the admittedly weak SPL.

My other half is also football mad, so I must admit when I see them I am shouting like mad (she does the same whilst watching the gas). She supports Barnsley, friendly with a lot of their fans and always have a laugh when they play Swindon! "your just a small town near Oxford"!

Not anywhere near a 2nd team (as to me, it's like saying a second missus) but I may covet another team in form of Grimsbury next season.
Just keep an eye on their results.

I was mortified being beaten 9-0, Spurs being that team didn't make it hurt any less. Good job I was living in deepest South Wales in those days and only my Newport County supporting best mate in work gave me any grief.

Nowt wrong with a second missus - though mrs gas who is Japanese would disagree - I'll be looking out for Grimsbys results - thought they might have given the big group of us a bit of gip on the tube at wembley -(we went to their exit station after the game) but they were alright, and were the better team on the day - hope we don't get nerves like that next season!

Follow the results of Burnley, my Dad's old team and Aston Villa who I watched when I was at Uni. Other than that I watch Frome Town when the Gas are in the distant North

God -I was also at that 9-0 at spurs - worst of all had to go back to my London family after the game who were all PALACE fans and relive it on MOTD! worst Gas experience ever except maybe that Boxing day 4-1 defeat to the South Bristol losers at Eastville...

West Ham.
Liked them as a kid, been to a couple of home/away games but wouldn't buy a shirt or anything & these days barely have a clue who their next game is. Just tend to look out for the results & the action on MOTD.

Celtic for me, I worked up there in the 90's and went to watch a game with a colleague and got hooked. Short story, my first game was at CP against Hearts, before the stadium was rebuilt. My colleague warned me about how rough the ground was standing on the jungle and all, it didn't bother me, and after the game talking about it, I had to tell him it was nothing compared to Twerton with crappy uneven terracing, uneven pitch, rain pouring through the 'roof' with puddles everywhere! Haha, happy days.

Hammers next game ARSE away in prem - no fun now no clockend for the irons to 'take' and no atmosphere at Emirates anyway....

That should read North bank not 'clock end'- not that I ever partook in any shenanigans with other fans...ah, ok College Green after a Gloucester Cup v the enemy, and Cardiff once, wolves on another boxing day perhaps...got it out of my system in the end......
