Not trying to be political, but we have talked about the boycott of Sainsbury's and this morning Simmonds/BNS... the support shown by Charlotte Lesley to help with the ground development, does this influence anyone on their vote next week. The parties always meet in the middle anyway, but she has been really high profile for us, including HT pitch the other week, so for that reason I am influenced.

my local MP has been very helpful on a local issue, and they'll get my vote for the first time partly as a result - it seems to me that its an important part of their job

I would rather vote UKIP than Tory and that is a wild stretch of the imagination, out of touch ex etonians who can sleep easy at nigh having robbed from the vulnerable and sick for another term would never ever get a vote in our house. Charlotte seems more in touch with the real world and if she helped deliver a brand new stadium, champions league football, free entry, free beer and half time pole dancers it would still be huge NO!

I'm not able to vote for Charlotte Lesley in the upcoming General Election as I don't live in her constituency, but if I could then I would. She appears to be an ambitious lady, but also a first-class constituency MP. Compared to the most recent Member for Bristol North East (and my most recent MP) she gives the impression of at least being alive, and not in semi-hibernation. But then again I've always preferred the colour blue to red.

Does it influence my vote in Bristol East next week? No.
I'd rather die than vote Tory anyway and thankfully nobody else round here is going to either

Suppose what I meant really. I liked what she did for Rovers. No harm meant.

Me & my family WILL be voting for Charlotte because of all the work she has done in her constituency AND the work to enable Rovers to build a new stadium

I admire the way that you have come to your own decision, and not been influenced by others. Just for clarity I would have posted the same whichever way you say that you intend to vote in the election. I think that there's far too much intolerance, and people should be able to post their legitimate thoughts irrespective.

It's a vote winner for them I tell you !

She seems nice enough and fair play to her for mentioning us in parliament but I can't vote Tory... I've got disabled friends and what they have done in terms of benefit cuts is nothing short of disgusting.

Best constituency MP for Bristol North West in my lifetime, in fact one of the councillors for Shire was a dyed in the wool red but he was impressed by her enough to stand as the Tory councillor & win. Guess some on the left can listen to logic & reason.
Unfortunately I now find I live in Bristol West so won't be able to vote for Charlotte & will have to think very carefully about my vote. Rest assured I won't be wasting it on the laughable Green candidate.

Your not wrong there, did it the last time around but this time have raised the bar and significantly higher, and also left a hell of a lot of people with no independence and no future.

It's simple, vote the party not the MP.
