I'm surprised how ticket sales have stalled.
I'm also surprised how many people were reeling off pure fiction. Posts on facebook saying they were at the club shop at the end of the game on Saturday and we were all sold out. There was no information between the end of play on Saturday and Monday morning where it was assumed that getting a ticket was an impossibility on general sale.
Now we have anything between 400 to 600 left to sell, depending on who you believe. Have we even sold the 1700 that was stated in that article that came out on Friday?
We still have a chance of winning this - and even if we don't or didn't, are people honestly so fairweather that they will base their decision to support their team on the basis of being only 1 point behind (or two points ahead if Halifax had beaten Barnet?) with two to play or not? It is not like we are mid table and 20 points off play offs and relegation!
Lets get this sold out!

It'll sell out. Poor communication is all that stalled it.

Lets get this sold out! surely you can answer your own question with some basic maths? we were given 224 seats and 2,000 terrace. The seats sold out very fast. The terrace then sold pretty fast until end of saturday. The club said 1,700 had been sold. That means we have around 500 left. hey presto. The only reason sales have stalled is because those who REALLY want to go on a very long trip (the equivalent of Bristol to Halifax, where we had 668 fans) got in there as early as possible, and begged, borrowed & stole their mates ST's, Supp Club memberships, etc, as they were worried it might sell out. Now demand has been satisifed, sales are slow. Quelle surprise. I am going, but money is very tight at the mo, and if we get into the play-offs, my decision to go might be looking pretty stupid if I can;t afford to go to, say, Woking, or macclesfield away. I suspect many others simply cannot potentially afford 5 tickets for 5 big games in a month.

I do like the idea that if we don't sell two thousand tickets for an away trip that's at least a 3 hour drive, towards the end of a month where we also have 2 must see home games, that we have fairweather fans.
Most sides in this division can't muster 2000 at home!

The remaining 500 would then have had to endure all of that day, as well as the match day on Saturday (with queues coming out of the door before and after the game) and the first day of general sale. This is when multiple (now known to be false) reports were coming out of '50 left' to 'sold out' etc were coming out over the weekend on Facebook etc. Given the fever around it (a bubble that only really burst first thing Monday), I would have been surprised if we barely sold any on the Friday / Saturday / Monday. Either way, I can appreciate it is a long way to travel and financially going to this number of away games isn't easy. We have certainly sold a more than respectable amount already. Our away support is incredible and deserves better football than that of the 5th tier.

Our support in general deserves much more than non league football. I think that in general our supporters have embraced non league football and won't desert the club if we fail to get promoted this season. UTG

Why don't the club lay on free transport for the amazing loyal support (as they say themselves)?
It would be a small gesture as a reward to help cheer the team on, and go some way to bridge the gap that still exists between fans and board..

If you can take a club the size of Rovers into non league and still be able to walk then you have a licence to do whatever you want.

If you can take a club the size of Rovers into non league and still be able to walk then you have a licence to do whatever you want. Speak for yourself. If you think having the licence to do whatever you want to do, and do very little, then the gap that existed still remains. Fact is as the crowds haven't significantly gone down, the fanbase gets huge plaudits from club, management and external sources, is much coveted from teams I division 1 downwards, and yet precious little reward for the actual fans that attend. So, all I can suggest is a warning to mind the gap. Because if you can't see it, it doesn't mean it isn't there..

What gap are we on about?
The gap between the two Bristol clubs? It exists, has done for ages, and doesn't make a blind bit of difference to how Rovers are rum or how we perform, despite the utter obsession of a small group of saddos on either side.
The gap between the board and the fans does not exist. After the initial gloom of relegation and promises of action and pritests, crowds are up, and Gasheads see the ignominy of being outside the Football League as a fun opportunity go go ground hopping.
