Fussy lot us Gasheads. I have been very impressed this season with the initiatives shown by landlords ~ best of luck to them.
Hope the back garden is large enough for 1500 Gasheads.... Glad to see you are getting extra staff in. A few pubs I have been in at away games have got caught out.

Could possibly put something like Cheddar Valley/Old Rosie, it would go down a treat with the Gas invasion!

Nah, Brislington is 'Briz'. Down the road we've got Snanz, and over the brook you get to Brewmill. I don't like this 'Brizzle' thing. Krek Waiter's Peak 'Bristle' (like a bristle on a brush), or 'Brisawl'. Bristol Rugby fans cheer for 'Bris'. Trouble being briz, and bris are prounounced the same. Briz has been around forever. Bris is a crappy egg chasing PR term, attempting to appeal to the masses. there is only one BRIZ!ps. Great initiative from the OP, could be a trend starting? Well they shouldn't be pronounced the same if used in shortened form. If I see Bris written I pronounce it with a 'S'. However, as we all know, Bristol is pronounced with a 'S', and Brislington with a 'Z', and as such the shortened form of Brislington should be 'Briz'.

My old man always said how he went to 'Briz' school.

Disagree. Bristol is pronounced with a 'S' : Brislington is pronounced with a 'Z'. Briz = Brislington / Brizlington. Diagree, in 50 odd years I have never heard of any bristolian using the word `bris` which I must assume phonetically is prounounced briss? Again, bris is some ridiculous marketing term, probably the same lot who have come up with the latest `more points than saracens` pathetic parallel! I don't see how you can disagree with what I've written above. Plus I've never said I had heard a Bristolian using the word 'Bris'. The only time I've encountered it is at the rugby. If you've ever been you'll know that people in the crowd have been saying for years "Come on Bris!", and it was always all over the programme headings.

I'll speak to our suppliers and see what we can get hold of will def put a keg a dry cider on and some real cider as well

They did change Blackthorn but the West Country rebelled and so they gave us Dry Blackthorn back. I think its only sold locally though.
The new Blackthorn is grim, don't get that in please!

Just some real ale for me please, and maybe a decent sandwich. If you could reserve me a table by the window that would be great, I should be down there about 11ish.
