Hi, im the landlord of the Cricketers pub in Dover which is located adjacent to Dover Athletic Stadium, Crabble athletic ground. Due to this we are often the pub of choice for away supporters traveling to Dover. Like all other clubs we look forward to giving a very warm welcome to Bristol Rovers fans when you come down to the match on the 18th. The pub is a large and family friendly with a huge beer garden and we will be well prepared to handle the expected large volume of away fans. On the day there will also be an extra bar in the garden Serving lager cider and real ale and Bbq on all day. The pub will be open form 11am if I can be of any further assistance please do not hesitate to contact me.
Best regards
Nathan The cricketers pub Crabble avenue Dover

Practice saying with a Brizzle accent "ole right me babbers" and you'll get on fine with our mob who can get a bit rowdy and raucous at times but in a nice way. Hope you do well......

Only the foreign one's Some of us just shorten it to Bris' or if you are Welsh speaking pronounce it Briste (that's Welsh for Bristol by the way, I know 'cos I seen it on the bilingual road signs we have over here) Those of us from Lockleaze probably say Briztawl, those from the posh bits like Henleaze say Bristoool Anyway, sounds like the Cricketer's Pub in Dover will be the place to be next Saturday and we'll all sound the same by 3 o'clock

Bris' is Brislington, its not Bristol. Nah, Brislington is 'Briz'. Down the road we've got Snanz, and over the brook you get to Brewmill. I don't like this 'Brizzle' thing. Krek Waiter's Peak 'Bristle' (like a bristle on a brush), or 'Brisawl'. Bristol Rugby fans cheer for 'Bris'.

Bris is a crappy egg chasing PR term, attempting to appeal to the masses. there is only one BRIZ!ps. Great initiative from the OP, could be a trend starting?

The 'Brizzle' thing really pulls my chain. It's used by people who aren't from the city as a mishearing of the local accent(s). As above, depending on where you're from, it's 'Bristle', 'Brisdawl' or similar. 'Brizzle' just comes across as a snotty incomer's interpretation of it. Lazy and inaccurate

Bris = Brislington Not Bristol. Damn egg chasers. Disagree. Bristol is pronounced with a 'S' : Brislington is pronounced with a 'Z'. Briz = Brislington / Brizlington.

Diagree, in 50 odd years I have never heard of any bristolian using the word `bris` which I must assume phonetically is prounounced briss? Again, bris is some ridiculous marketing term, probably the same lot who have come up with the latest `more points than saracens` pathetic parallel!

There is street parking and parking available in Crabble athletic ground in the adjacent road, of course parking will be overstretched due to the large numbers
