in my head he was right wing. Another blondie at the same time was Ray, before his Greydoom period You may be correct my memory ain't great,i think Villa signed Ray after that match but we did get Godfrey. Bannister had a good head of hair Despite the fact that Brian Godfrey did very well for us, I've always thought that Villa got the better of the deal. If only because Ray Graydon was a player who had many years of his career in front of him, but Brian Godfrey was at the other end of the spectrum. Does anyone remember how much cash topped up the deal? I seem to remember that Villa paid us £10,000, but it was quite some time ago now.

Billy Clark a good shout, some classic locks there. In fact that era had some classics in the way of luxuriant hair with Skinner, Stewy and Carl Saunders all starring. The less said about Browning's Legoman haircut the better though!
More recently Ellis looks like he's harbouring thoughts of trying to go pretty big. I reckon he's the type to give the barnet challenge a red hot go. He's got time on his side as well so watch this space...

Godfrey did bring a wealth of experience and knowhow to our team though. Wish we had players of that quality now, maybe in the not to distant future, stop laughing at the back

I'm thinking Percy's perm, which seemed bigger than he was, although The Judge's was also quite good in its way
Paul Randall's centre parting seemed to epitomise an era, as did Frankie Prince's suedehead
though it would be Boris for colour, obviously, although it didn't really inspire a song like Dis' did
any more nominations? bristolrovers.wikia.com/wiki/Paul_Randall and not forgetting the Randall "perm"
