Rather than step down/aside from the board it MAY be that NH has been asked/requested to solely focus on the ground, whilst someone else takes over at the top and has a focus purely upon footballing matters; leaving NH still on the board, but not as chairman.
This, of course, is total speculation and guesswork!

I'll ask him when I see him soon. Please excuse my sarcasm seygas, not sure I can take much more of BRFC. If 30 minutes is a struggle then 15 should do it.... Believe me he's ( Chris Jelf ) a good guy, I spend every season which him in box 4, and he aint happy. He's like you & I, but he's got a few more bob

As it was stated it will be a temporary chairman with NH staying to run the UWE project and the new chairman will be a new investor with more money that the present incumbents and a bit of business nous

As for Rovers, well you know, look where we are,we are desperate. I've had it with this board, have done for years,i kept quiet for a while as I hoped the UWE could offer us so much. Now it appears that could well be sailing down the Swanny too. The Board have failed miserably and if Higgs goes, the UWE lost and we're left with Dunford,Bradshaw and Co then what's the point?

The same point that has gone on since the year dot where MANAGERS and PLAYERS were accountable. In the 60s it wasn't send Con Stevens to Vietnam it was send Bert Tann to Vietnam. i have said since Exeter away first match of the season that John ward should have been replaced. He and he alone was the reason we went down. Too stubborn to see that his tactics were dated and that they needed changing. By the time DC took over we were dead and gone because the team were locked in the tactics and the deadline was past. Yes that was the Boards fault but the majority of us,the fns agreed with keeping John Ward. The important thing now is to get the TEAM ready for this season with only one target-to get back at the first attempt. To do that we need based on keeping Mildenhall,Smith,Lockyer,McCrystal,Parkes,Brunt and Harrold the following a tough centre half who wins the majority in the air a fast full back if Lee Brown goes another 20 goal a season striker Two left wingers A right winger Two experienced central midfielders i experienced defensive midfielder even if Clarke stays as he is not good enough and we will still need another full back and a reserve keeper. This means 10-12 new players assuming no one goes and the essential qualities has to be a mixture of players from the Conference who are proven and League 2 or League 1 players who have been released. No such thing as gelling time you just need to get the right balance to the team. Steve evans never worries about gelling -he gets it right first time and Clark must now do the same and put his words into action. The responsibility to bring the PRIDE back in this club is his and not Higgs,Dunford or who ever else is Chairman.

"What we need is a Forward who could hit a cows arse with a banjo, a Centre Back who can tell the difference between a Rovers player and one of the other side, and a Winger who understands the significance of the white line that runs around the edge of the pitch"

If it was like the OF never went away then we'd still be hearing how Chris Beardsley and Harrold are exactly the sort of players we need to keep hold of on one year deals long after it was perfectly apparent that their total absence of ability to put the ball in the net was going to see us effed. You know ... those two strikers who'd scored seven league goals between them ... SEVEN ... give them another year. Oh, that and how Doryl Clueless was a tactical genius for dropping our top goal scorer because we managed to bungle the ball over the line in the 94th minute of total dross.

This club will remain in the dark ages if any of those become chairman , i wish we could go forwards instead of backwards all the time.

This, of course, is total speculation and guesswork! Not great guess work IMO. Higgs thinks he knows best and is a control freak; until somebody buys him out, it is his way or the highway.
