Play offs are the best we can hope for IMO,due to not getting a midfield player to create chances for the strikers.
I hope that we do go up this season because if we don't I expect a long stay in this division like Luton,Wrexham,Grimsby....come on Rovers.

Can't see anything other than the play offs for us u? I posted a thread straight after the Nuneaton match along the lines of we shouldn't expect to be promoted. A few took delight to call my post stupid. Like I said before, there is alot of football to be played so anything can happen. Hence why I am still hopeful, not expectant. The signings we have made, particularly mid season shows ambition. But to turn a sinking, relegated club around in one season to credible promotion candidates is a remarkable achievement so quickly. It's not happened in my lifetime.. |

There is still a way to go yet but the play offs would be a very good achievement from my point of view considering.

We are one of four or five clubs that are very much in the mix for top spot.
I think the signing of Easter could have a massive impact on our team for the remainder of the season.
We got to 2nd without him and if can score the goals that turn draws into wins, we could well finish top.
I very much doubt that Grimsby or Macclesfield have given up on finishing 1st so why should we.

Don't think we deserve to be top, need to put together an amazing run of form to pip Barnet.
Playoffs will be tough, some decent teams in the mix.

Last week was the big chance to capitalise IMO but our lack of goals really do stifle us. At the end of the day we just draw too many games.
Playoffs are fine so I'm not too downbeat, it's more than I expected anyway. Hopefully the new signings can provide a bit of extra quality in attack that we DO need.

Will happily accept the play-offs, i think we have over achieved for our first season if we get a top 5 finish, you only have to see that the club and in particular on field matters have been in freefall for the last 4 years, and for DC to build a side and change things in a matter of months on a reduced budget is a superb effort if come May we are in the play-off mix. The problem is that come April if we don't win the league, the negativity will be so overwhelming that the chances of going up through the play-offs will be slim.
