No chance it was a cheap dig and he got a bit of nerve judging our fans when their average attendance is the same level of support you'd get following a Bristol surburban 6 side , I seen bigger crowds at a 1 man w@anking festival UTG " I seen bigger crowds at a 1 man w@anking festival" Do you got to many 1man w@nking festivals? Very often ;-)

Here's the raw data, gleaned from match reports on Rovers' or home clubs' web-sites. Home Team | Attendance | Away Gas | Percentage Gas | Barnet | 2027 | 663 | 32.7% | Altrincham | 1463 | 376 | 25.7% | Forest Green | 3781 | 1886 | 49.9% | Braintree | 1621 | 565 | 34.9% | Lincoln | 2933 | 211 | 7.2% | Southport | 1202 | 367 | 30.5% | Eastleigh | 2621 | 996 | 38.0% | Aldershot | 3466 | 1255 | 36.2% | Telford | 2860 | 895 | 31.3% | Alfreton | 880 | 315 | 35.8% | Chester | 2936 | 479 | 16.3% | Wrexham | 2608 | 193 | 7.4% | Welling | 1176 | 651 | 55.4% | Torquay | 3755 | 1145 | 30.5% | Nuneaton | 1661 | 926 | 55.7% | Woking | 3853 | 1869 | 48.5% | Dartford | 1832 | 788 | 43.0% | Grimsby | 4073 | 326 | 8.0% | Gateshead | 1668 | 667 | 40.0% | Halifax | 2248 | 668 | 29.7% | Macclesfield | 2591 | 782 | 30.2% |
(Excludes Cup games and is based on published away support, so excludes Gas who went into non-segregated areas of grounds). The average Rovers away support in Conference games so far is 763. (Excludes Cup games and is based on published away support, so excludes Gas who went into non-segregated areas of grounds). The mean attendance at Rovers away Conference games is 2,441. So, on average, Rovers fans have formed 31.3% of the crowd. An away following of, say, 2,500 at Kidderminster and 2,200 at Dover would give an average for the season of over 900. (BRFC reported on 31st March that they have already sold 2,387 tickets for the Kidderminster game). The table below shows the average Rovers away support in the last five seasons in the League. Season | BRFC Fans | 2009-10 | 694 | 2010-11 | 615 | 2011-12 | 608 | 2012-13 | 511 | 2013-14 | 679 |
Previous seasons' data was obtained from www.football-league.co.uk/documents/visiting-fans549-2006734.pdfOnly 2 pretty poor followings there and that's wrexham and lincoln

I'd imagine there are a few going on in the Grimsby area judging by their forum. Not a lot else to do in Grimsby though is there?

Here's an update of the raw data after Kidderminster. The numbers were gleaned from match reports on Rovers' or home clubs' web-sites. Home Team | Attendance | Away Gas | Percentage Gas | Barnet | 2027 | 663 | 32.7% | Altrincham | 1463 | 376 | 25.7% | Forest Green | 3781 | 1886 | 49.9% | Braintree | 1621 | 565 | 34.9% | Lincoln | 2933 | 211 | 7.2% | Southport | 1202 | 367 | 30.5% | Eastleigh | 2621 | 996 | 38.0% | Aldershot | 3466 | 1255 | 36.2% | Telford | 2860 | 895 | 31.1% | Alfreton | 880 | 315 | 35.8% | Chester | 2936 | 479 | 16.3% | Wrexham | 2608 | 193 | 7.4% | Welling | 1176 | 651 | 55.4% | Torquay | 3755 | 1145 | 30.5% | Nuneaton | 1661 | 926 | 55.7% | Woking | 3853 | 1869 | 48.5% | Dartford | 1832 | 788 | 43.0% | Grimsby | 4073 | 326 | 8.0% | Gateshead | 1668 | 667 | 40.0% | Halifax | 2248 | 668 | 29.7% | Macclesfield | 2591 | 782 | 30.2% | Kidderminster | 4229 | 2619 | 61.9% | TOTAL | 55484 | 18642 | 33.6% |
The average Rovers away support in Conference games so far is 847. (Excludes Cup games and is based on published away support, so excludes Gas who went into non-segregated areas of grounds). The mean attendance at Rovers away Conference games is 2,522. So, on average, Rovers fans have formed 33.6% of the crowd. An away following of 2,058 at Dover would give an average for the season of exactly 900. The table below shows the average Rovers away support in the last five seasons in the League. Season BRFC Fans2009-10 694 2010-11 615 2011-12 608 2012-13 511 2013-14 679 Previous seasons' data was obtained from www.football-league.co.uk/documents/visiting-fans549-2006734.pdf

Here's an update of the raw data after Dover. The numbers were gleaned from match reports on Rovers' or home clubs' web-sites. Unfortunately, I can't find the confirmed Gas population at Dover. The best guess is from the Kent Messenger, which reported "more than 1600 visiting fans". So, until someone can point me to a more accurate figure, I'll assume 1601. (The total crowd at Dover was only 2,351; were there really only 750 home fans?).
Home Team Attendance Away Gas Percentage Gas Barnet 2027 663 32.7% Altrincham 1463 376 25.7% Forest Green 3781 1886 49.9% Braintree 1621 565 34.9% Lincoln 2933 211 7.2% Southport 1202 367 30.5% Eastleigh 2621 996 38.0% Aldershot 3466 1255 36.2% Telford 2860 895 31.1% Alfreton 880 315 35.8% Chester 2936 479 16.3% Wrexham 2608 193 7.4% Welling 1176 651 55.4% Torquay 3755 1145 30.5% Nuneaton 1661 926 55.7% Woking 3853 1869 48.5% Dartford 1832 788 43.0% Grimsby 4073 326 8.0% Gateshead 1668 667 40.0% Halifax 2248 668 29.7% Macclesfield 2591 782 30.2% Kidderminster 4229 2619 61.9% Dover 2351 "1601" 68.1% TOTAL 57835 20243 35.0%
The average Rovers away support in Conference games in 2014-15 was 880.
(Excludes Cup games and is based on published away support, so excludes Gas who went into non-segregated areas of grounds).
The mean attendance at Rovers away Conference games in 2014-15 was 2,515.
So, on average, Rovers fans have formed 35.0% of the crowd.
The table below shows the average Rovers away support in the last five seasons in the League.

Next time we're in league one though our away support average will be above 1,000

the other forum said that Keith Brookman had advised that the official figure was 1562. Thanks mehewmagic. In that case: The average Rovers away support in Conference games in 2014-15 was 878. (Excludes Cup games and is based on published away support, so excludes Gas who went into non-segregated areas of grounds). The mean attendance at Rovers away Conference games in 2014-15 was 2,515. So, on average, Rovers fans have formed 34.9% of the crowd.
