All very cryptic seems a chosen few seem to know more than most can't see the confidential clause lasting much longer too many people in the loop maybe the apron wearers had a few too many over Xmas Ha ha As I said, its all about opinions. And no breach of confidentiality anywhere here, expressions of interest are not normally confidential as they are almost impossible to conceal. We shall see, but the fears of 2004 may well be coming into force. Let's pretend for a moment that some of us don't know/can't remember what those fears were

Just to fuel fire Colin was at Yate Town on Boxing Day Carry on So was I. And I had an evening with Colin and a leading planning expert recently at mine. I was also in Colin's box at a very recent game. Its all about opinions, but one thing we should agree upon is that we cannot carry as we are, and being sold down the river is a poor return for loyalty and £1m plus of our money. But hey, lets guess the gate for the next home game and moan when the club is left homeless and rudderless, we already have 50% of that. (I speak for myself, not Colin or anyone else) I guess you used my ticket vs Bath Oldie, as I was otherwise engaged in Lanzagrotty, I never ask what's going on when in that company as it's rude in the extreme, but clearly change is required in how the business is run, as its rediculous a club who can get nearly 7000 in Conference is anywhere near that league.

You could perchance expand on some of your more opaque references, in this specific instance letting us know what the fears of 2004 were and therefore what we should be worried about now

Ok, I am pretending, what next? You could perchance expand on some of your more opaque references, in this specific instance letting us know what the fears of 2004 were and therefore what we should be worried about now The transfer of the only asset of the club to a private company, then sold on for profit for the benefit of the few leaving the many without a club, a team without a home. How much of that has happened since 2004. Absolutely nothing opaque, more about understanding.

Odd how all that MCP Cap stuff seems to have been ignored by the local press!

If your boss is Hayden then please tell him there is a Rovers fan in the USA who has very fond memories of travelling to matches with his Grandad in the 1960's. If I have got the right person then he worked at Avalon Furniture Yatton with my Uncle and used to go on the Pearce's coach to Eastville. A very charming and humble man and I am glad to hear his family have done so well in the window business. my old man worked at Avalon many years ago.....goes by the nickname brabus! worked with the likes of noman stockham and others... I know ken pearce from pearce coaches...im guessing he has probably passed away by now?? You couldn't grow up in Yatton in the 1960's without knowing the Stockhams. Norman, Albert, Monty, Ernie, Arthur, Bill, George and probably more who's names escape me. All great characters and great sports. Not sure whether Ken Pearce is still with us or his brother Mike who used to drive the Rovers coach.

With £30m originally due from Sainsbury's I didn't think we needed any major grants to build the UWE? As far as the OP is concerned i don't think anybody is doubting what he said just that it's not something we'd heard before on the forum, if he's offended by that then that's up to him. As far as I see it there must be plenty of outside grants from somewhere. move to the UWE debt free. £40 million build - £8 million free land, leaves £32 million plus lets just say £8 million loans and debt, back to £40 million - suggested £30 million from sainsburys still leaves £10 million to pay. Unless someone's left us that cash in a will it has to be coming from somewhere.

If the staduim comes in at say £25m then that doesn't leave alot to fund, assuming Sainsbury's ever stump up there £30m?

Tbe BoD or NH said at the q and a they would likely fund any shortfall. However i guess that depends on how much the shortfall was expected to be and how much it may have grown
