Perhaps the late payment of wages (if true) before the new chairman arrived could be the reason? If so Salisbury season ticket holders dont know anything about late payment of wages (perhaps the club dont release secrets to passing fans )- they've been told he was let go due to not playing enough games to justify wages and condition in his contract re being able to speak to clubs. Fair enough, cheers for info manc. Regarding Frear, he looked very good this season for both the England C team (Player of the year, 4 assists) and Salisbury (6 goals, 14 assists) from the stuff i have seen. A good crosser and good dribbling ability with a graceful running style. I like the look of him.

Would of thought most people would of been interested to know the length of the contract ?
Or is it just every other club that mentions this when announcing a signing and it is us that get it right by not mentioning it.
Maybe I'm the only one on this forum that would like to know this and no one else is interested ?
Never mind I'm sure we will find out one day.

Pleased with the signing, this is the type of player we should have been looking to bring in for a couple of years now. Someone young, on the up, with the possibility of increasing in value. Lets hope he continues his goalscoring next season.

Perhaps Salisbury really were great at keeping secrets!

Perhaps Salisbury really were great at keeping secrets! In the case of Salisbury City FC Ltd, (Company Number 4374422) being represented by directors Mark Winters and Otail Touzal, the Board unanimously agreed that the club can retain membership of the Ltd Company and their place in the Football Conference Premier providing financial payments are secured as directed by the Board.

I'm very happy with this signing, was hoping that we would try and sign him since Clarke came in last year. As others have said it's nice to sign someone who looks to better his career rather than someone going stale.
Obviously this type of signing always has an element of risk to it, especially with his injury record, but he's the ideal type of player I want us to sign. There's no question that we will be very appealing to players like White who are playing for smaller clubs and would probably see us as a good opportunity to at least get noticed by other clubs or (hopefully) get promoted into the league.
Good start, hopefully more to follow soon!

Happy with this signing. White was a player I was interested in us signing him last season when we brought Clarke in as assistant manager. His scoring record is fantastic at conference level but as previously said injuries are something he has struggled with. Hopefully he gets a full season under his belt and scores his goal every other game average.

Will reserve judgement but his injury record worries me, a lot.

Terrific acquisition. Am sure he`ll fire us back to the football league, at the first time of asking. Is that positive enough, Steve?
