Looks a good signing on paper and certainly someone who has been targeted by fans for a little while. A good start to the squad rebuild.

Hopefully our next signing will be a decent microphone for interviews.

Hopefully our next signing will be a decent microphone for interviews. Someone tweeted the club about this a while back: "@official_BRFC May 14 @benino76 we don't have a mic at the moment unfortunately. We hope you can hear Nick ok."

all Salisbury's contracts are paid to April, 9 or 10 month contracts are common in Conference because of limited cashflows

It seems he has played for about 4 years without serious injury playing for Salisbury (2 seasons) Winchester, some outback club in Oz and Eastleigh. Does not appear that he will arrive unfit like Gillespie did. Seems very cocky and sure of himself in that interview...
I like him!

You know he only managed 15 starts last season due to various injuries, including a double operation for a Gilmore's Groin problem, don't you?

Wes, doubt the not being paid bit, Salisbury have a new owner with bags of cash, and have booked a pre season training and games trip to Spain.

Perhaps the late payment of wages (if true) before the new chairman arrived could be the reason?

I'm just glad we have signed someone who would appear to have signed for Rovers as a club to kick on with, as opposed to a club to wind their career down.

If so Salisbury season ticket holders dont know anything about late payment of wages (perhaps the club dont release secrets to passing fans )- they've been told he was let go due to not playing enough games to justify wages and condition in his contract re being able to speak to clubs.

This is good news on the face of it, im as pissed of as the next person at the way this club seems to have been run into the ground, perhaps we should start a thread with a feel good factor meter, this could start the ball rolling, does this push the bar up to 5%?
On a more serious note this lads goal scoring record suggest he could be a good prospect.

Hopefully we won't raid Salisbury a la Torquay in 2011, but it would be nice to get Frear and White in, particularly if the latter can stay fit

But he was only 21 at the time......

All right now- Free Change the right to White. You have your chant for Jamie White "All White now, baby, it's a-all White now. All White now, baby, it's a-all White now."

Cant convince some people. I told Mancgas on another forum that White hadn't been paid for two months as told to me by DC yesterday.
As it stands, unless DC is telling porkies, id rather believe him. He said that he was waiting with fingers crossed for five o'clock when he would become a free agent. Obviously I couldn't post this yesterday, coz I didn't want to cause the break down of a chance to sign him.
I really don't care if Lansdown is Salisbury owner. If Salisbury hadn't paid the player they had broken his contract thus making him a free agent. If DC also lied about the Eastleigh bid then OK. But I would suggest if that was true, why did they not sell him instead of releasing him? I'd suggest because they wanted to keep him.
And he scored 5 goals in 5 games at the end of the season. Tell me, would you have released him?
