I think you should take the dog for a walk or something. This thread seems to be getting a bit much for you.

As I said earlier, "can't moan about the post, so moan about something nonsensical instead."

Shouldn't you be doing your school work on a Sunday? Mr Stuckey,it is true to say that it is noticeably quiet on this forum when Rovers start having some success on the pitch. A winning team leads to very small match threads, while a losing one tends to have pages of disgruntlement (normal? for this forum yes, but always to the point where you sense that some of those making the comments are enjoying it). I know a winning team is pure poison to those who have an entrenched negative disposition towards the football club, hence they never come on here to say much (let alone be positive) when things start to go well. Comments from an ex-supporters club director along the lines of "Shouldn't you be doing your school work on a Sunday?" really is not good form. Apologies, i thought that it is pretty obvious that someone who starts just about every post with LOL is struggling with puberty. LOL

As for the football, people seem happy, so I was going to leave it, but since you insist. Great isn't it, we beat established Conference team Wrexham, bankrupt Lincoln, Nuneaton and Woking and we are all supposed to think that everything's great? It's embarrasing to be playing competitive matches against these pub teams. Let's pretend that we haven't been turned over, comfortably, by 2 part time teams this season already. We should never be in this cesspit of a League, we shouldn't even be in L2, so well done Higgs, how many millions of the equity in our stadium have you lost so far?

Makes you wonder, by complaining about someone who is going through puberty, if you have "gone through it" yourself.... hhmmmmmmmmm hey..?

I keep saying give us a half decent season and we will flock back to the mem! I mean if we would be where the s*** are now we would sell out every week, that lot take only a hand full away from home and only get a sad 13000 odd at home! I mean would they take 1800 to an away game in the conference? Our fans are fantastic and after 4 wins on the spin I feel it won't be long till we get 7s on the gate again! Providing we keep winning that is! UTG!!!
Would City take 1800 away to FGR in the Conference? You bet they would, we have been where City are now, and we didn't sell out every week, we were pleased to get 10,000. Our support is very good for a Conference side, and City's is very good for a division 3 side.
Very true. But both teams should expect to be well supported - they play in the 6th biggest city in the country with no Premier League team and only one Championship team within 80 miles.

I don't know if I'm stepping into a private feud here but I have to say I find it sad that people refuse to give any kind of praise to the on field performances, which are merited at the moment imo, because I assume they fear it would be seen as backing the failed regime in their own eyes.I get that but if I personally got no pleasure whatsoever out of the team doing well I'd have to walk away as what's the point in putting yourself through such angst? A promotion season may mean the Board of Directors staying but it might also increase the chances of a takeover occurring so us being successful this season might actually produce the result that those disillusioned by the regime are seeking.I know that would be the dream outcome for me and probably the vast majority of the 6k there yesterday.

This idea that people don't praise the team or don't like it when we win is a bit silly isn't it?
When we win, people will naturally have less to say. Every big company has a complaints procedure because people moan more than they praise.
Its like restaurants - you're more likely to tell someone to avoid a bad one than you are to tell someone to try out a good one.
This notion that loads of folk sit at home disappointed of we win because they can't moan is frankly ridiculous.

It's fairly clear there is a personal feud going on in some of the comments which has absolutely nothing to do with what is posted but relates to some form of personal slight or perceived wrongs off board between a certain poster and others. I have got to the point of taking what some post with a pinch of salt as the comments seem to be solely diriven by who the poster or posters are rather than what is actually posted. All a bit sad really.

If you read THIS forum you will see that you are so wrong. Have you not noticed that certain posters have gone AWOL in the past few weeks. Well since our last defeat in fact. No doubt when there is bad news RE:The Mem Or a defeat they will be back from there round the world cruise, just in time to say..... I told you so.....

There are folk who don't go to games, so they can't talk about the talking points of the game. Fact is, in this league, beating Woking or Lincoln is a minimum, and losing at Altrincham or Braintree is no more than a disgrace. They're hardly going to log in just to say 'I'm glad we won'. I'd guess that they'd comment if we had any good news off the field, but when was the last time that happened?

Shouldn't you be doing your school work on a Sunday? ADMIN: Post edited to remove inappropriate personal attack
LOL, good one though, can't moan about the post, so moan about something nonsensical. Seriously? someone makes a personal attack on me(a board basher by the way ,who has previous withe board, and nothing) I retaliate(I stick up for the board),and bingo, admin edits my post. This post sums this forum up perfectly. Bristol Rovers Independent Forum(but only if you agree with admin) and not the the board. And people called the official forum a dictatorship..... Wonder what they will call this, heaven no doubt....

I can understand what youre saying with people not going to games being not able to comment on talking points of the game, but surely if you comment on the negative side when things are going badly, you can equally comment positively when things are going well? I will comment both positively and negatively depending on what I have seen, I wish more people did the same. I thought DC got the tactics all wrong at Barnet but showed on saturday with the early substitution of Clarke for Gosling that he is able to make game changing decisions. I will listen and take more notice of posters who post both positively and negatively, rather than posters who only post all positive or all negative comments. Some posters on here do appear to only get involved in negative posts, however I am not naive enough to think some people like us to lose.

pretty sure gd quoted 10k a few years back <script type="text/javascript" src="safari-extension://com.ebay.safari.myebaymanager-QYHMMGCMJR/ab1eb71d/background/helpers/prefilterHelper.js"></script> Not being funny, but were not playing a few years back, were not even playing one year back... Agreed you are not being funny. My point was that it indicates that costs have been reduced.

I thought it was reported that Toni the Till originally said break even, i.e. no loss, is 9,500. It was the budget figure that was lower...... LOL(ironically) "Toni the Till" A comedian you ain't. Not trying to be funny. It's a common nickname not my handiwork!!
