Newport have signed Joe Piggott, I'm expecting that to free up Christian Jolley. Can the budget stand it? After all, we have Turley waiting in the wings. That's probably where he'll be played!

It was confirmed by James McNamara last week and, in fact, I think DC commented on it on the OS as well.

I believe DC said that Turley was up to 8 weeks away from full training, and that was at the beginning of August, so I would imagine we are a couple of weeks away yet. I also wonder if Trotmans form may affect the Turley deal? I believe that Trotman is only on a short term deal, possibly in a view to signing Turley when he becomes fit. But with Trotmans excellent start, I can surely only see his contract being extended to the end of the season. Do we need Trotman, Parkes, McCrystal and Lockyer? Or is it too much of a luxury when any potential money could be spent on other areas?

Jamie Turley would be our best signing of the season imo and we would have an awesome centre back pair if Trotman maintains his current form.Wouldn't be surprised though if the money situation means we can't/won't sign him or another team steps in because he's a proven top player in this division.Difficult to see McChrystal getting back in any time soon and the curse of the 3 year contract may well strike again regarding him.Parkes seems to be out to prove himself as the David Luiz of the conference with some of the passes he's been trying but he is a good player in my view and simply needs to realise his own limitations and stop trying to be something he's clearly not.Ideally McC would go out on loan and we sign Turley who the manager still wants I'm assuming and any pressure from our beloved CEO to tighten the purse strings further is resisted.

Yep someone suggested the Newport friendly was arranged for them to have a look at Macca and Brunt while we saw Jolley in action, wishful thinking I would surmise.

Surely we didn't give the unwanted McChrystal a 3 year contract? As far as dropping Parkes that seems an odd suggestion when the FA consider he's one of the best CB's in the Conference by calling him up for England "C" training?

I believe it was a 3 year could be wrong though.Like I said I think Parkes is a decent player but on current form Turley will make him piss out of our team when he's match fit.

Let's hope that Turley actually puts pen to paper then, if only to give Tom Parkes some competition and the manager some different options.

If he was thaty good surely FGR wouldn't have released him for Coles as his replacement, this sounds like Kenneth type hype again. I'm loving the latest comment by DC about AB something like "we'll have to assess how fit he is" shouldn't the club be doing that before he signs for us???

Turls turned down an offer to stay at FGR, good signing at centre half, can fill in at right back but would definetely be the best centre half at the club and a far better long option than Trotman.

This guy is a seriously good player trust me. www.forestgreenroversfc.com/first-team/2013-14-squad/jamie-turleybefore the start of last season there was a clamour on the red forum to sign Turley and not Flint so unless his broken arm has f****d his game up and he's put on 5 stone he won't be remotely like Kenneth.

I have Coached at FGR for last 6 years, Turls is nothing like Kenneth, this man is a beast that can play football, very imposing, good pace, reads the game well and is good in the dressing room, a fantastic addition to the squad.

I'm loving the latest comment by DC about AB something like "we'll have to assess how fit he is" shouldn't the club be doing that before he signs for us??? I'm quite certain that you know what the manager was referring to regarding Angelo Balanta, Topper. It was surely a reference to his match fitness, and not his being injured. And I really don't know the reasons why Jamie Turley left FGR, but hopefully it could work to our advantage. Was he released, or did he reach the end of his contract and decide to leave? Does it really matter now, is Danny Coles a better player than Turley, or is Turley a better player than Kenneth? Again does it matter, I don't think it does because a player who is a duffer at one club will go elsewhere and be a hero, and vice versa of course. I'm optimistic that when he has recovered from his broken arm, then Jamie Turley will join us and make a big difference to our performances. Danny Coles and Garry Kenneth are no longer playing for us, so why concern yourself too much with them?

Still it can't be that much longer before his arm is healed, and am I right in saying that he did agree terms with BRFC, and sign some kind of pre-contract?

Turls has agreed terms and is training twice a week with us, prob a week or 2 from full contact training but in fantastic physical shape and itching for real game time.

Unfortunately "agreed terms" counts for diddly squat in the football world.
