I was informed today of some incidents at the last game and i wondered if anyone can pour any light on them
1. That there was a punch up in the dressing room at half time between playerers and also all the players refused to speak to another player.
2. There was a large bust up in box 1 following the final whistle. Lots of blame and counter blame between boatd members.
Anyone else hear this ? Any truth in it?

I would ask posters to be careful of naming players etc. This could be classed as a libellous comment. We have worked hard to get this forum up and running and would hate to receive a letter from the club warning of legal action. Freedom of speech is one thing naming players / staff (rumours) when not all the facts are known is another thing.

Not sure if (1) is that relevant anymore even if it was true. I want to say at least it shows some passion and they care, but as we know passion alone does not get you points (the 12th man rubbish spouted by certain members at the club was laughable).
(2) No idea. Wouldn't surprise me though.

Shame that the players and the board didn't show some fight weeks if not months before that final game. The arrogance that they thought we were never going to be relegated was a disgrace.

The arrogance that they thought we were never going to be relegated was a disgrace. Contemptable complacency from all involved. "Relegation is not an option" bulls**t and Ward hinting in January (and beyond) that a playoff push was in our sights, despite all the evidence suggesting otherwise.

Why do poster keep on repeating the "Relegation is not an option" comment as surely that was made the season before last by NH?
As far as the OP why would those two players have a fight, that seems an odd combination to scrap?

One of the board had one of the box guests by the scruff of the neck after the game. A few home truths hit a nerve apparently.

"Relegation is not an option" bulls*** and Ward hinting in January (and beyond) that a playoff push was in our sights, despite all the evidence suggesting otherwise. I'll never forget John Wards Newport post match comments when we won 3-1, the contempt he showed for the fans when he made some snide remarks about not needing new strikers because we'd just scored 3 goals, his attitude and the undertone i felt from him towards the fans is 'what the f**k do the know'. After that game we went on to barely score a goal in his tenure, still annoys me when people refer to him as a gent, he was a genius at working the media and painting a great picture of himself.

As far as the OP why would Harrold & Clarkson have a fight, that seems an odd combination to scrap? Wasn't it repeated last year at one of the meetings held by the board and fans. Seem to remember it was.....

The recollection of experiences often prove richer than the experiences themselves.

In the past, I've read that one of them did watch from the Tote, in his younger days. Wouldn't put my house on it though, unless I'd taken out some sort of insurance policy.

Perhaps because one would be out of work because the other gave up when covering Mansfields winger who put the cross in for their goal.

Kev. GD told me some years ago at Stoke that he used to watch from the Tote End and rightly called himself a Tote Ender.
Funny thing is, that on the board, he always used to distance himself from 'those thugs on the Tote End. They don't represent the club in any way shape or form'.

He was a south stand regular when his sports teacher used to take him. I think the poster was referring to another director and mentioned something about taking out insurance. Mind, the director who flew off the handle told his victim that he would deny it if repeated.
