I’m am saying that the constant sniping at Wael from a distance by certain posters in down to subconscious racism on their part though. Either way I’m not asking you to mod anything Epping as it’s supposition and suspicion on my part". Hang on. Are you saying that swissgas criticism of Wael is due to subconscious racism? Although that might just be supposition and suspicion on your part - that is quite a serious accusation. If you could point to anything that supports your view - then please let me know. Epping, I’ve not said Swiss is a racist. What I am questioning is the constant vilification, the sinister suspicion and constant misrepresentation of facts of events towards our owner and the motivation for constantly posting such things and whether there is an undercurrent of racism for doing so? If it isn’t that these people can’t stand that we have a foreign owner then what is the motivation for such postings? As for evidence for such a suspicion on my behalf, well the op on this could be used as a case in point and it wouldn’t take you, I or anyone else with a similar suspicion very long to dig up threads or comments where some false prophecies are insinuated and proposed as facts which constantly paint the owner in a poor or demeaning light. You are no mug Epping, surely you question why people would write such musings, with the sole aim of deliberately trying to mislead or misrepresent certain events or situations if their motives were absolutely pure? Surely people don’t need that much of an ego rub or need to use an Internet forum as a form of viagra to get a thrill? Even if racism isn’t the motivation and you do just enjoy lobbing grenades on an Internet forum to discredit our owners because it’s fun, how much of a sad fool must you be that your life has come to that? Surely this forum would be better off without those people? Perhaps I’m over thinking it all, but I’m a fairly level and sane fellow with a brain which uses logic before anything else and I can’t work it out. 1. You have accused swiss of unconscious racism. You then say "swiss is not a racist". So please clarify. 2. "constant misrepresentation of facts of events". Where there is a LIE, please report it. Mods will deal with it. Swiss is very careful not to post opinion as fact. You may not like the constant criticism of Wael. You may not like the way some people interpret words and events. Tough 1982Ltd. But that is there right. Freedom of speech and thought and all that. 3. I'm not a fan of this thread, there is no substance to it. However on balance I don't think there is a will to "mislead or misrepresent". I see a very cynical view of our ownership, granted. But that is his view. To conclude I see no evidence whatsoever of racism from Swiss, unconscious or otherwise. So what could possibly be his motivation for the constant criticism? Possibly - just like you and me, he wants what's best for Bristol Rovers FC. Wael is a wealthy fool. Wael is our saviour. The truth is probably somewhere in the middle.

.....it still continues to be the club I don't recognise, but understand the unfortunate beast it's becoming.

I believe that we have arrived at the time that Swiss needs to: 1. Put up 2. If he can’t/won’t, apologise to The officials of BRFC and consider making a charity donation (Nick Anderton?) for upset caused 3. Or shut up

For the record, I'm 75 and on immunosuppressant steroids which can cause "feeling anxious or depressed, changes in your mood or thoughts". If you like, grumpy. Seems most of us are on something for one reason or another. Doesn't necessarily make us grumpy or grumbly, more older, wiser and sardonic. I’d question wiser, and before you say it I’m over 60 !

In summary, someone not there said it happened and someone there said did not see it happen. The rest of us have no clue, but some speculate or comment.

I haven’t accused Swiss of being a racist. I’ve asked him what his motivation is for posting the half baked, misrepresentative misinformation and why he has a constant agenda. If there is no good material reason continually discredit the owner then it must be personal. Even now when asked directly to explain himself by both me and John M, he’s been evasive, as usual. He hates Wael, we all get it, but why? This place has become a platform for him and others to do so as well. That is why I said that from those who do constantly snipe that I’m suspicious that it being so personal is it down to subconscious racism because I can’t believe for one minute that any supporter would dislike our owner that much that they constantly must public slander him as they do? It goes well beyond cynicism because even a cynic will look at past evidence and be able to understand that Waels motivation is healthy. True the execution may be clumsy at times but no one is perfect.

No - someone made an accusation, sometwo called someone out and name names. Someone suddenly became very coy and couldn't do so. We are all now agog for a name or a retraction. But not with much hope.

To say Swiss hates Wael is laughable. There is no hate but a different opinion on how things are run. Let’s be straight here, Wael has been here close to 7 years and we are back to the same old rovers but with a different clique running the circus. Hate is not appropriate and not true

Hate is not appropriate and not true personal hate would be off the books as you state KP... but as i see it he[swiss] just hates the WAY he see's the club is being run and vents his frustrations here in somewhat no uncertain terms [things like management of FC's have changed drastically since he was involved seriously with this club,,,,, opinions are great and sometimes best kept to yourself .... not sure how many go with his opinions but he does tend to annoy several on here with his.

Personally and it’s no secret, i started off really liking Wael but the warning signs came quickly like when he was telling others of how cheap it was to buy a club and also i was worried as Gills had turned them down. He was never out of the media and was saying a stadium was a priority and that finance would not be a problem but we now know the club has been turned down by at least one extremely wealthy person, i take from that that we have been looking. Wael has, personally, made a lot of mistakes but has had many scapegoats and Garner was one of those mistakes. People blame Starnes but who, ultimately, signs off on these things ? Let’s be straight, we have nor progressed, our capacity has come down, for comfort of fans, we are haemorrhaging 3 million a year, even Higgs did not manage that, the training facility has come to a halt and we have had absolutely no communication from the owner in a very long time and he has not been to the mem in over a quarter of a year. IF you think that is acceptable then I’m ok with that, i do not hate on anyone, i enjoy different opinions but i draw the line at personal abuse and it’s why i do not read or interact with ITB. I notice even he has been quiet over the stadium and lack of work on the quarters. Swiss brings these things into the open and that is not tolerated well by many, it doesn’t bother me as it has been shown that Wael plus with B*****, he can be cold and get rid of all of the long serving and local rovers fans that supported and worked for the club. I, like you, want the club to move forward and not have an owner that goes int hips shell. It really is time for some kind of statement as i feel it’s disrespectful to not say a word. The only time i get annoyed is when certain people try to put this place down, Dr F is doing so on the other site, no need for it, don’t like it, go elsewhere. I like this’d place and that we rarely get personal, apart from the one mentioned. Life has a way of balancing all things up anyway so i have left it to do so. We need some real leadership now or we will lose, possibly, more than our league status.

Are you seriously suggesting there have been no improvements?
The best training ground we have ever had - championship quality pitches The bars transformed (from one of the most depressing & ininviting place I have ever drank in) Social media presence is excellent, (the promotion videos on You Tube and Twitter were superb) Club shop transformed, on line shop improved hugely
Ticketing much easier for those who live a distance from the stadium (all be it with a few issues at the start)
Hospitality suite much improved and better quality Fanzone has hugely improved the matchday experience for many
So many more youngsters now frequenting the Mem
Recruitment so much better than in the past, players who fight for the shirt (and if they dont they are ditched)
A manager who has taken us to a much higher level of professionalism A team who, with a fair wind, might just have a shout of the Play offs and possibly be in the mix with the likes of Derby, Sheff Wed and Ipswich (unlikely I think but who knows) And fundamentally now free of debt
BUT a club who still needs a ground, absolutely, and desperatly needed and which so far WAQ has not delievered.
If you are really saying the above are not improvements I do despair. 99.9 % of the fanbase would agree and the few that don't are either bitter because they no longer have any influence, frequent Gasheads.Org .. or live in the States

Either way I’m not asking you to mod anything Epping as it’s supposition and suspicion on my part. Could you please clarify whether or not you are accusing me of being a racist. I’ll tell you what Swiss, you clarify all the supposition from your post by naming names and whether the events happened in a way you say they happened and I’ll then clarify a few things this end. [/quote] Sounds familiar

Good points. I really don't get the angst about the training ground, these posters make it sound as though we are training in the middle of an abandoned building site! JB requested some upgrades when he arrived, and those have been implemented. We've come a long way from using portacabins and flooded training pitches at Fry's.

As for "the club", the players are very much bonded as a group - no idea about other staff, apart from finding the people I deal with to be very helpful and a credit to the club.
