What's the betting if there's any truth in this story then it's one of the OP's mates who have previously held positions of power in the the club or SC, as I don't believe Wael would effectively band anybody else from attending the AGM.
How sad is it that they've gone running straight to a poster who not only doesn't live in the UK but also never even bothers to watch any of the games on iFollow and probably couldn't even name the present club captain.

So let me get this straight.. So Swiss who isn’t a director and lives in America says someone was chucked out, not welcome, asked to leave, ejected…delete as appropriate. However won’t say who it is or substantiate anything with any proof. John M, who was actually there says it didn’t happen, didn’t see it happen, or if it did happen, it was done very discreetly, so discreetly that 20 other people didn’t witness anything. Basically, is this bollocks or not? If it’s not bollocks, who tried to get in and what’s he done to upset our owner? Only then could we know if it’s justified or not, however, all I will say, is that I’ve been to one of these shareholders meetings once before, and what I witnessed was nothing more than a sustained vitriolic attack on both owner and the appointed executives. Quite a lot of bulls**t was flying around that evening too, which wasn’t much surprising considering the mouths of the persons it was emitting from and equally it wouldn’t come as much of surprised if the owner has binned those people off. I couldn't attend this years AGM and the last face to face AGM I went to was about 4 years ago and I concur with the above. It was by far the most embarrassing AGM I've ever attended and I've been going for 30 odd years. There were a couple of people accusing the owner (cant remember about what but it may have included share scheme certificates?), shouting questions randomly without going through the protocol of raising your hand, the floor couldnt get a word in and the meeting degenerated. I felt a bit sorry for the chair of the meeting although he did not manage the situation well (he is no longer on the board). It did end in huge show of support for WAQ however.
I think the above was the last 'in person' AGM, and they have since been on line until this year.
It may well be that someone was discreetly asked not to attend, and if the above issues at that AGM is anything to go by I am not suprised and would welcome it (irresespectibe of whether technically you should do it or not) and im sure the majority would too, if indeed its connected.
Our American based friend will do anything to show the club ownership in a poor light and people will draw their own conclusions. Personally I think he should get out more.
Reading through this thread there is potential for a reformed Monty Python sketch, or perhaps some decent material for Ricky Gervais next stage show. I think people should read it in that context.
Thanks for the co-oboration. It was that very evening. The shareholders certificates were a minor point. Most of accusations surrounded the family, their intentions or the apparent lack of them. Asset stripping was mentioned as was selling the Mem. I’m not a shareholder but was invited to attend and in the end I had to stand up and invite a few to shut up because it was getting ridiculous but more than anything else, I couldn’t watch the utter disrespect that flowing towards our owner which apparently was “representative” of the fans general opinion which it clearly wasn’t. It was nothing more than some egotistical dick swinging on the small part of a disgruntled bunch with their noses firmly out of joint.

Whether it’s a subconscious racism or whether it’s steeped in good intention I don’t know as the lines have become so blurred over the years due to the lies, wild speculation, accusations and apparent ITK offerings. Well well ITB, you've used a word that's long been on my mind. [/quote] I have absolutely no doubt about it.

Either way I’m not asking you to mod anything Epping as it’s supposition and suspicion on my part.

Although that might just be supposition and suspicion on your part - that is quite a serious accusation. If you could point to anything that supports your view - then please let me know.

Half a story is posted in the public domain in order to cast the ownership in a bad light, and suggesting a public apology is needed. This is deemed suitable by the poster for all and sundry to see on a public forum. The all important detail, substance and context needed for the viewers of said post to be able to form a balanced view is withheld by the poster as apparently not deemed suitable for all and sundry to see on a public forum. And when challenged, the poster subsequently insinuates a private apology would be in order by the club to the shareholder in question. So why the initial post Maybe that is just explained as 'Sh*t stirring' and there should be a rule for that ?

I do think there is an undercurrent of racism towards our owner, yes, and it appears I’m not the only one who thinks it either. Why else is there constant suspicion and vilification of a man and his ownership of us, and his motives, despite achieving more in 7 years than all previous boards in the past 30?

But are you accusing me of being a racist ? I’ve not accused anyone of being a racist. I have proposed a suspicion based on the fact that I’ve asked, for quite some years, why there is a need to constantly vilify the owner, why the constant suspicion that he has a sinister motivation for owning us and to be blunt, why he seems to be hated so much? Because I see no logical explanation for it. Why else would there be constant rumours started or misinformation stated or misleading statements made? It makes no sense. Especially when this comes from a very small fraction of our fanbase who had very close connections or were involved with previous ownerships.

Epping, I’ve not said Swiss is a racist. What I am questioning is the constant vilification, the sinister suspicion and constant misrepresentation of facts of events towards our owner and the motivation for constantly posting such things and whether there is an undercurrent of racism for doing so? If it isn’t that these people can’t stand that we have a foreign owner then what is the motivation for such postings? As for evidence for such a suspicion on my behalf, well the op on this could be used as a case in point and it wouldn’t take you, I or anyone else with a similar suspicion very long to dig up threads or comments where some false prophecies are insinuated and proposed as facts which constantly paint the owner in a poor or demeaning light. You are no mug Epping, surely you question why people would write such musings, with the sole aim of deliberately trying to mislead or misrepresent certain events or situations if their motives were absolutely pure? Surely people don’t need that much of an ego rub or need to use an Internet forum as a form of viagra to get a thrill? Even if racism isn’t the motivation and you do just enjoy lobbing grenades on an Internet forum to discredit our owners because it’s fun, how much of a sad fool must you be that your life has come to that? Surely this forum would be better off without those people? Perhaps I’m over thinking it all, but I’m a fairly level and sane fellow with a brain which uses logic before anything else and I can’t work it out.

Never heard of grumbly old men but if we're gonna get ageist on top of racist to win arguments then this forum has its share of grumpy and grumpier old men (and women). Doesn't mean they don't know what they're talking about.

If you like, grumpy.

So why the initial post Maybe that is just explained as 'Sh*t stirring' and there should be a rule for that ? A few things... 1. I don't disagree with your first 4 points. 2. The 'rules' were set long a long time ago, and I think do the job perfectly well. 3. Swiss has a history of criticizing the owner(s) of the Club. Most of this is constructive. It gets up some people's noses. Tough 1982Ltd. As the initial point in the thread lacks substance (certainly at the moment, I did ask for some more detail myself), I would put it in the tittle tattle bin for now. If in doubt (not necessarily this thread) I tend to revert to the words of the biographer of Voltaire "I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it".
