What level in the pyramid is that? I'm presuming below 11 as there's no floodlights... or linesmen. Been watching a lot of grass roots football since Feb 2021, thoroughly enjoy it. Only one game below tier 11 for me - Old Brentwoods vs Old Carthusians in the Arthurian League. Devon and Exeter League. Some refs are older than me and ref from the Centre Circle. Yes and if you go a few miles east into Dorset you will get into the Perry Street League. I think it’s still going but level below D and E. Years ago it was a strong league of strong village sides and town teams such as Axminster and Honiton. They play in the D and E League now. UTG!

Love how when the matches are over the players carry the goals into a storage area.Grass Roots footy alive and well and no Ronaldo to put up with but don't think he'd get in the Ottery St Mary team anyway.

Think many forget that this place was the only Rovers forum for around a year, after the club shutdown the old, official forum and without any warning. This place started to go quiet after we had several new posters who started to cause some argument and a fair few left.

This place started to go quiet after we had several new posters who started to cause some argument and a fair few left. It's alive as long as the fees are paid. It remains an independent voice that does not kowtow to the owner or the manager (though some may chose to do so - free country and all that). I will review the situation in May. Maybe time for someone else to take the reins anyway... Bet Joey would love to get his hands on it.

I get the idea that it has gone quieter on here recently but the quality of the conversations remain high. Imo of course. The other parts of the forum, general football and cricket also still provide quality discussions. So whilst we do need more people posting there’s no need for anyone to beat themselves up about where it is. I’m not into twitter or social media so I’m not the best judge of today’s way of doing things but it seems that twitter and other social media is the instant way of posting opinions from which people get more instantaneous feedback.
UTG!

Maybe we could add a little spice to proceedings, by introducing a dislike button as well?

Gentlemen, ladies, others.
I don't post much but do greatly appreciate the forum as it is. The benefit of having an independent self-regulated voice out here in the digital frontier is huge. Especially when I am as far from the pitch as I am. There's often an ebb and flow to the amount that needs to be discussed on any forum, and this one manages to succesfully walk the line between criticising and loving the club. Keep up the good/mediocre work!
