Who's offended? Who's going after anyone who dares to say they're not delighted? Your support prolongs B*****'s disgracing of this football club though, I'm sure. That's your right. I'm never 'offended'. Last reply from me and I'll leave you to your games and amended quotes. You want us to fail. This is a site for Bristol Rovers supporters (and fans). Supporters and fans should never want their team to lose. If you fail to see that, it's your choice. You do get offended and delete your account, before reemerging at a later stage.

I do not want us to fail. I want us to regain our dignity and supporters. That won't happen by B***** remaining. We disagree about what is in Rovers interests and what is Rovers failing. Rovers ability to win football matches may not have been what attracted a lot of us to the club. There are other factors, and Al Qadi burned those on 22nd February 2021. You care more about match day wins. I don't. I've left Guzzler when bored by personal insults, as you know perfectly well. Take a bow.

Rovers ability to win football matches may not have been what attracted a lot of us to the club. Well, you`ve got that right. If we relied on our ability to win football matches to attract fans, the Mem would be about as full as a Caribbean beach, two minutes after a Tsunami warning went off. Even so, most fans want their team to win, even if they`ve long since given up expecting it. I had no idea that Bristol Rovers had so many fans prepared to do a volte face, and start supporting everybody that we play against.

Who we are matters to me more than winning. What we are at the moment is appalling. I want every single Gashead back at Rovers. I want only one person out of the club. To me it's obvious on whose side I stand. I want Rovers promoted to the division B***** relegated us from, as soon as possible, too. That also requires B*****'s replacement. But even if B***** was capable of mid-term success, I'd still care more about Gasheads and BRFC's dignity. I don't pass Faustus's test. So what?

If you choose not to support JAB, but still be a fan then you're still part of the family as far as I'm concerned. That's perfectly reasonable to you.
If you're further away, that's not a problem either.... it's all water off a ducks back to me.

I just wish I could share the joy of games like last night. But it all just leaves me cold. Can't help the way I feel, can't do anything about it. It's how it's going to be for as long as B***** is here. Last night was the proof of that. I think back to previous times - that game v Yeovil, Worthington Cup v Everton, FA Cup v Fulham that went to the replay with tents and hot air blowers drying out a waterlogged thick with mud pitch, League Cup v Leyton Orient where we just kept giving them goals even when they were down to 9 men but still went on to win ... the list is endless and just thinking about them takes me back to the moment.
Now? Nothing.

He almost did last week by all accounts but was held back by his trusty corner men.

Now? Nothing. Exactly Angas, you're not alone. I am happy for Gasheads, 100%. It was obviously a great atmosphere. But for me - nothing there any more. My son couldn't make kick off and was absolutely livid he missed it. He was bouncing around his flat. He is as passionate as ever. Someone mentioned our comeback in the pub and I just shrugged my shoulders. You just can't help how you feel. I hope I get 'it' back. Something has 'gone'.

Now? Nothing. With you there. I didn't go Tuesday, but I enjoyed the win and performance Saturday and the general on field improvement, but part of me is left cold because of the associated baggage around it as evidenced yesterday in the national press by confirmation Joey will be going to court for allegedly hitting his wife Takes the gloss off the general upswing doesn't it

Imagination - fanciful or empty assumption.

Imagination - fanciful or empty assumption. No, I've experienced it, as have many of my female friends. I guess that you're a youngster, if you can't see any similarities.

Annie, you're always young to me. 🙂
Off to bed soon, but can't wait to see your response in the morning...

Well this thread's 'been on a journey', starting from disillusioned dismay at other supporters' inconsistency, through the Faustus Inquisition, now to the menopause. As a drake of my species (the females of which have the good sense to incubate their ova outside of the body anyway) I cannot say I have a clue who's right here. You'd never get this on Gaschat, I'm certain not.
